One Shot
A test unlike any other.
Ibuki was dashing through the trees, occasionally looking behind her, to see if her pursuer had been following her. Ibuki was a ninja in training in her village, and one of the tests was to hunt down a rogue ninja.
This rogue ninja was Elektra, a ninja that trained in the forbidden dark arts of her clan. Exposed to a malevolent clan with purposes of conquering the world, Ibuki set out to hunt down Elektra and perhaps kill her.
Only Elektra was not, in any way, an easy ninja to hunt. Ibuki had spent weeks tracking her to this forest alcove, weeks investigating in all manners of terrain and weather. Finally, she caught up with the red-clad ninja. Now, the tables had turned, and Ibuki was running for her life, pursued by enemy ninjas led by Elektra. She had fought some of them off, but several others, along with Elektra, were pursuing her. The spunky ninja girl took to higher branches in the trees and took cover behind a tree trunk.
Several other masked ninjas garbed in red continued running, oblivious to the fact that their target was right behind them. Ibuki dropped down as the last straggler went by and threw a bomb. The explosion rocked the forest, sending birds and animal life scattering. Most of the ninjas were dead or incapacitated, and Ibuki dismounted off of the branch. That soon proved to be a mistake.
Elektra had deliberately let the ninjas she sent die, so she could find Ibuki. The assassin kicked Ibuki in the knee and delivered another hard kick to the side of her head. Ibuki bent over backwards to dodge the attack, but then her hair was pulled and she was thrown into a large tree. Ibuki rubbed her head and then saw Elektra pull out her sais. Twirling them about menacingly, Elektra dove at the young ninja. Ibuki flipped up the tree and jumped over Elektra, letting several kunai fly. Elektra deflected all of the ninja blades and came at Ibuki, but Ibuki used the momentum she gained and, as Elektra went for her, Ibuki grabbed her and threw her into a tree trunk. Elektra hit her face hard and she collapsed to the ground. She groaned in pain for a moment and uneasily stood up. Her sais were no longer there, but she took a battle stance, ready for a martial arts showdown.
Ibuki took the same stance, surrounded by trees. The two then began fighting; exchanging swipes, kicks, and chops. Both of them had sweat glistening onto their skin, but they were not going to give up. Ibuki did a back flip and threw another kunai, hoping to hit. Elektra caught it and smirked, thinking she had the upper hand. However, Ibuki had specifically charged this kunai with her chi energy and, as soon as Elektra realized it, the kunai exploded, sending Elektra flying right into Ibuki. Ibuki jumped up and spun around, delivering a hard kick to the back of Elektra's neck. The impact was so strong that Elektra landed like a ragdoll. She was still alive, but was now paralyzed for quite awhile.
Ibuki sighed and sat down to catch her breath. She had completed her test of apprehending a rogue ninja. Shaking her head, she picked up the unconscious Elektra and walked back to her village so that Elektra can be properly judged and sentenced…
