Hey…a fresh, new story! Well…I've actually been writing this on paper first for a while so…

This is another challenge I took. I think it's fairly good…

Chapter one: When? How long?

GIR sat lazily on the couch. He flicked through the channels on the TV and yawned.

How long has it been? How long since Zim left and said he'd be back? Back from…where? Oh, to look for something. What was it?

"He went down to see if the ship was done repairing!" GIR exclaimed. He ran into the kithen and leapt down into the trash can. "He's right down here!" When he reached the bottom, he took off his green dog disguise. He ran, yelling, "I'm naked!!"

Then he stopped. Zim was not there. Neither was the Voot Cruiser. So…it was true. Zim had truly left GIR behind. It all came back to the little robot like a bolt of lightning. Zim had left saying that he would be back and did not tell where he was going. It had been two weeks and he still was not back.

GIR looked around. For what, he did not know. He spotted a disk sitting on one of Zim's older computers. He put it in the Irken computer and Zim showed up on the screen. He looked a little upset. He turned away for a moment. When he turned back, he was his usual self.

"Don't bother talking, GIR!" Zim exclaimed. "It's a recorded message, not a live feed. I really am not on Earth anymore. I don't know when I'm coming back, if I come back at all. Right now, I've decided to work for Sizz-Lorr. I know, I know…it's not like me. It's just so I can earn monies until I can go elsewhere. It's just…I've realized that…well. That's on a different disk. You'll find that when the time is right. This is Zim, signing off…"

The screen went blank. GIR was still for a while, then a tear appeared in one of his blue, robotic eyes. Then some more tears appeared. Soon, he was rolling on the floor, screaming and crying. When he finally stopped, he picked up the disk and looked at it.

"I'm alone now, huh?" he asked no one in particular. His voice came out so strange and upset, he did not recognize it. He prayed to whatever god there was that Zim would come home…and safely. He was already beginning to miss him…

Aww……poor GIR. I love making characters all dramatic and upset…well! Tell me what you think!
