This is my first Odyssey Fanfiction. Please review so I know if I need to fix it or anything. It takes place right when Odysseus goes into Circe's palace. He doesn't know that the animals are his men.

" You must be starved after your long trip." Circe smiled seductively at Odysseus. She motioned for one of her maids to get a few bottles of wine, just as a sheep a few feet from Circe bleated, Odysseus looked at it, and the sheep looked somewhat familiar. He stood up and walked to the sheep.

" Funny, this Ram looks a bit like one of my men, Vetaurus. His eyes, they look like he's intelligent, but still naïve." Odysseus turned to Circe, " Especially since he went missing a little while ago." Circe stood up, handed him a glass of wine, and answered him.

" You are wise, Hero." Circe smiled, She sipped on her wine. The red liquid rolled down her throat and she lipped her lips. Odysseus also took a drink.

" Wise?" Odysseus asked.

" You are clever. And, yes these are your men." She walked behind Odysseus and started to rub the back of his neck.

" Turn them back." Odysseus warned.

" Your threats are nothing to me. I am these animals master. They do what I say. Your hurt me, you try, and they will be on you in a second."

" Surely they remember me. They will know that I mean them no harm."

" They have no memory of their human life." She said as she kneeled down to a Lion, she petted it behind it's ears and the large beast purred. Odysseus sighed.

" How can I get them back?" Odysseus asked, Circe pointed to the chair that Odysseus had sat on a few moments ago. He sat in it, and waited eagerly to find out what she would say next.

" I need you to get a man, and bring him here." Circe said, " I need you to get-."

" You can have one of my men." Odysseus said, pointing to a frog in the corner of the room.

" No, I want a special man." Circe said.

" Who?" Odysseus asked.

" Achilles."

" Achilles? The Achilles that I fought the war with? The one man that I cannot get?"

" How cant you?"

" He is dead."

" I'm sure one such as yourself has no problem getting him."

" I can't. I don't know where to get him."

" Then I guess that there's no way your getting your men." She turned so that her back was facing him.

" Fine, I'll get him." Odysseus said, he stood up, " But where are the gates to Hades?"

" The gates to Hades? Foolish child, there's only one way to get there. And let me tell you, it's not pleasant."

" What is it?" Odysseus asked eagerly.

" Death." She said. Odysseus took a deep breath.

" Surely there is another way."

" No."

" Then you are sending me on an errand that I cannot fulfill."

" You will do this for me."

" You can keep my men."

" You will bring my Achilles with you when you come back. You are bound to me, now. If I want you to come back, with the snap of my hands you will come back."

" What?" Odysseus asked confused.

" You drank the potion." She said, " you and I are bound."

" Are we bound like the animals to you?

" Yes, I am your master."

" What?"

" You will go on this quest and you will not fail."

" Yes... Master." Odysseus said, his eyes widened when he realized what he had called her. He was really under her spell.
