A/N Hey guys! Welcome to chapter one of Percy Jackson: Mission Marvel. I've never done a Marvel fanfic before, so bear with me. Anyway, enjoy! Please review!

This story has been taken from highly classified S.H.I.E.L.D. files. It has been investigated from people who were involved. These people were interviewed. As the tale unfolds, you'll realize this was not easy.

THE FOLLOWING IS HIGHLY CLASSIFIED. DO NOT OPEN WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM NICHOLAS J. FURY.

If it is discovered that you reviewed this file without permission from the Director, you will be severely punished and/or mind-wiped.

Read at your own risk.

Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. was flying in a helicopter back to base when he saw something unusual. Granted, he was lucky to even be alive to see the thing, because of Loki stabbing him in the chest. It had taken Nick Fury's quick thinking and science to keep him alive. He had hidden out until the alien battle had blown over, and revealed himself to the Avengers once the battle was over.

Anyway, the unusual thing appeared to be a boy swimming in the Hudson Bay. This was strange because, one, most normal people couldn't swim in the Hudson without growing another arm, and two; the boy didn't seem to need to put his head above water to breathe. However, Coulson had seen some people who were able to do stranger things than that, so he decided to investigate.

Coulson turned to Dawson, the helicopter pilot. "Take us to as close as that boy down there as possible." He called. Dawson was confused. They had an appointment with Nick Fury in ten minutes, so they were in a bit of a time crunch. Nevertheless, he brought the plane down to a hover.

Now that Coulson was closer to the boy, he could see him better. He looked around eighteen or nineteen years old. He had windswept black hair, and sea green eyes. The kid glanced up, undoubtedly hearing to helicopter, and his eyes widened. He pulled his head above water and took a breath as if he needed air. It was obviously an act.

Coulson also noticed that instead of his black hair being sopping wet, his entire head was perfectly dry. He heard a click of a cell phone behind him, and saw Dawson taking a picture. When Coulson glanced back, the boy had disappeared.

By the time they had risen high in the air again, Dawson had already put the plane on auto pilot and was downloading the picture on to the computer. "You read my mind." Coulson said. "What came up on the records?" Dawson squinted at the screen.

"Three options came up. Some British kid in the UK."

"Unlikely. Next?"

"A completely average kid in Nebraska."

"Also unlikely. Anything else?"

"Kid living in New York, named Perseus Jackson."

Coulson paused. The name made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. That was interesting. His intuition was never wrong. "Elaborate on that last one." Dawson shrugged.

"That would take all day, sir. Would you rather look at it?"

Coulson decided to wait until they got back to base. "Fine, but don't tell anyone besides the director that you saw this. Got it? This is completely confidential." Dawson nodded. "Yes sir."

When they got back to base, Coulson reviewed the strangely thin file on Perseus Jackson.

Perseus goes to a summer camp in Long Island, New York.

WARNING: POSSIBLE INHUMAN AND/OR TERRORIST

That was the end of the file. Coulson frowned. This was too thin, and didn't make any sense. Perseus seemed to have been convicted of multiple things, but always got away with it. Coulson decided to pull up the address of the camp. Coulson hoped that Perseus wasn't a terrorist. He already had enough on his plate.

Coulson requested a meeting with the Director as soon as possible. He got in in less than five minutes. He briefed Director Fury about what he had seen. Fury rubbed his goatee. "Interesting," He said. "That sounds like Stark's new intern, Annabeth Chase."

Coulson frowned. "Who?" Fury pulled up a file on his laptop.

"She ran away from home when she was seven, kicked out of a bunch of schools, diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. Lives with her father, Professor Frederick Chase, and her mother is unknown. She goes to a camp that doesn't exist."

Coulson whistled. "And Stark still hired her?" Fury smiled.

"Her I.Q. levels are unusually high. She applied for the internship along with over one hundred other kids. Miss Chase won."

"Do you think that these two know each other?" Coulson asked. Fury shrugged. "Anything's possible. Anyway, we're calling in the Avengers."

"To track down a kid? With all due respect sir, he's eighteen years old."

"I don't care." Fury said. "I am done with terrorists. Plus, if he's on the good side, then we always need more Avengers."

Coulson knew better than to argue with the Director more than twice. "Yes sir."

Percy
Thirty minutes later
Camp Half-Blood

Percy clutched a stitch in his chest as he emerged out of Long Island Sound. That was close, he thought. Normally the Mist would conceal any demigod stuff that he did, but the man on the helicopter seemed to know exactly what he was seeing and way too interested in what it could be. He would have to tell Annabeth about it.

He knocked on the Athena Cabin door, and it instantly flew open. "Percy!" Annabeth shrieked. "Did you hear?" Percy was confused. "Hear what?" Annabeth rolled her eyes. "I got an internship at Stark Industries, Seaweed Brain."

"Oh…" He said, still confused. "Um… What is that again?" She laughed.

"It's this really cool technology firm, and they do architecture stuff. I requested and internship along with about one hundred other kids and I got the job!"

Percy grinned but he was sad that she would probably be gone soon. He was happy for her, sure, but Selfish Percy wanted her at Camp Half-Blood all the time. "Listen, Annabeth, something happened today and-"

Annabeth's phone rang. "Sorry, Percy, but that's probably my dad calling. He'll be wondering if I got the job. I told him not to call me while I was at camp." She hurried off, leaving Percy feeling dejected.
