A/N: I do not own Milkshake by Kelis or Riverdale
"Can you be anymore obvious?"
They were sitting across from each other in one of Pop's booth and Josie was doing everything in her power to make Veronica squirm. And it was working. Especially as her teasing tongue slipped out to swipe at some conveniently left behind milkshake droplets on her upper lip.
"What I'm just enjoying my milkshake. Mad that you can't enjoy it too?"
"You're evil."
Josie shook her head, slightly leaning over the table. "I'm horny." She said barely above a whisper. "And you won't do anything about it."
The black haired teen flushed before taking in a breath, refusing to let Josie get to her. "If you haven't noticed, we're trying to save Pops here. Something I would think you'd be interested in."
She shrugged, swirling her tongue around her straw. "I am but my mind's preoccupied with something else right now. Plus, I really shouldn't even be here."
Veronica smirked leaning over the booth. "Then why are you?" She husked, staring into her eyes.
Josie bit her lip. "You know why."
"No, I think you're going to have to tell me."
"How about you taste my milkshake and then I tell you." Her mouth went dry when she realized Josie wasn't talking about the milkshake clutched in her hands.
"Hey Veronica! Another table just came in!" Pops voice ranged from across the diner.
"I have to get back to work." Veronica groaned, frustration making itself at home within her.
"You do know you don't actually work here, right?"
"For tonight, I do."
"Josie!" They turned to see Melody along with Cheryl walking towards her. "Girl, why haven't you been answering my text messages?" The girl demanded with a hand on her hip.
She frown. "I can't find my phone. What's going on?"
Melody pulled her phone out and tapped the screen a couple of times, before shoving it in her face. "Read this."
Veronica glanced between them confused, before settling back on Josie. The girl's eyes were scanning left to right, as her face went from a cute frown to completely pissed off. Her head whipped up to Veronica. "Where is Betty?"
"She's in the kitchen..."
Josie was out of the booth immediately, milkshake and Veronica forgotten, as Melody and Cheryl followed behind her. She was just about to walk behind the counter right before Betty appeared from the back.
"Josie." Betty greeted with a huge smile.
"Cut the crap. Why the hell did you broadcast all of social media that the Pussycats would be doing a free concert here, tonight?"
Betty grimaced at her tone, before sighing."I knew if I would have asked you, you would've said-"
"No!"
"Mhm." The blonde nodded, as she just proved her point.
"If my mom hears that I've even stepped foot in this placeā¦"
"Josie, you care about this place. I know you do. I see you in here all the time."
Josie rolled her eyes. "Look. Betty, even if I wanted to help, I'm down a cat. Valerie has a neural virus-
"I don't mind stepping in." Cheryl suddenly spoke from beside her with a smile. "I mean after all, if you can be a River vixen, Josie, I can be a Pussycat." Josie's brow raised, making her shrug. "As long as its a cover, I'm sure I'll know all the lyrics."
Despite Cheryl's eagerness, a firm no was on the tip of her tongue until she caught sight of Veronica. The girl was watching the scene with rapt attention, seeming to hang on to every word. When she caught Josie's gaze, she quickly found interest in her cell phone. A smirk graced her lips as an idea came to her. Turning to Betty, she smiled. "Fine. We'll do it."
"Yes! Thank you, Josie!" The blonde threw her arms around her. Josie playfully rolled her eyes, but hugged back nonetheless. When she caught sight of Veronica's gaze again, she sent her a teasing wink.
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like,
Its better than yours,
Damn right its better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge
Veronica's mouth was slightly ajar as she watched Josie on the roof of Pop's with Cheryl and Melody singing Milkshake of all songs. She knew by the cocky grin on the girl's face that she'd chosen this song on purpose. Just to tease her. And once again, it was so working.
Josie was sporting high waisted short shorts and thigh high boots that complimented her body perfectly. She didn't know if she should be giddy at the show the girl was performing for her or put off that she was essentially performing it for everyone else too. Though, when a wink was sent down her way, she knew it was the former.
I know you want it,
The thing that makes me oh,
What the guys go crazy for.
They lose their minds,
The way I wind,
I think its time
When the girl ran a teasing hand down her inner thigh, Veronica had her mind made up.
Betty could totally handle helping Pop close things up, right?
She never did get to taste Josie's milkshake earlier.
