Hello everyone! I'd like to say that this is my first ever Fanfiction. I have never written anything ever before, but decided to give this a shot. This took me about an hour. Enjoy. DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own Fairy Tail. Hiro Mashima does.
SETTING: Fairy Hills - Erza's room
The girls of Fairy Tail are having some fun playing a game of truth or dare. Surprisingly, it wasn't Mira's idea. It was the idea of their host: Erza. But of course, Mira was still a part of it.
"So Levy, Truth or Dare?" asked the matchmaker of the Fairy Tail Guild, Mirajane Strauss.
"Ummmmm..." Levy knew she had to think this over carefully. If she chose truth, she'd probably have to tell the others about her feelings for a certain dragon slayer, but if she chose dare... uhm... she'd rather not think about it.
How did I even get into this?
"uuuuuuuhhh... dare? No, truth! No, I mean -"
Mirajane smiled at this while Lucy and the other girls laughed about what was about to happen.
"Quit laughing Lu-chan! You're next you know!"
When Levy stated this, Lucy instantly quieted and looked down at the floor. The other girls noted this and continued their laughter.
"Hey Erza! You got any booze? I'm dying here!"
"Cana, I am going to have to ask you to refrain from drinking for the amount of time you are here."
"WHAAAT? HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO FUNCTION WITHOUT BOOZE! I NEED BOOZE!"
At the sound of this reply, Levy had an idea. "I'll buy you all the booze you want tomorrow if you take my place in this game!"
"THANK YOU LEVY!" Cana shouted, happy to have access to free booze.
"YOU CAN'T DO THAT LEVY-CHAN! YOU STILL NEED TO BE DARED!"
"Sorry Lu-chan! Cana agreed to take my place!"
"BUT-"
"Lucy, it's okay. We all know that Levy likes Gajeel anyway." Levy blushed. "Cana, you do know that this means you go twice right? Once for Levy, and once for yourself." Mirajane said.
"It's alright! Levy's paying me for this in booze!"
"Okay then. Truth or dare?"
"I'mma go with dare!"
"Okay then! Hmmm... I dare you to go a WEEK without booze!"
"WHAAAAT!? BUT LEVY SAID SHE'D BUY ME SOME TOMORROW! I CAN'T DO THAT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION?"
"That's what you get for taking someone's turn."
Cana turned and gave Levy a stare that will haunt her dreams, signalling to her that Cana WILL have her revenge.
"It's been so long since Cana's been sober. I wonder what she'll be like" stated Erza.
"Evergreen-san, does Juvia really have to do your dare?"
"Juvia, for the third time, it's only a day! Get over it!" said an annoyed Evergreen.
"BUT HOW CAN JUVIA IGNORE HER GRAY-SAMA?"
"It's better than asking out Elfman! You don't really have to do anything!"
"I'm still shocked you agreed on asking out Elf-Nii-Chan..." Lisanna said to Evergreen.
"It's a dare, so I don't really have a choice, now do I?" Evergreen said with a red face.
"So, who's turn was it again?" asked Lucy.
"Lu-chan! It's your turn!"
"O-oh..."
Erza walked over to Lucy and sat down.
"So Lucy, truth or dare?"
"Uuuuummm..."
Crap! If I say truth then I have to tell them how I feel about Natsu! But if I say dare... I should be safe. Right? I mean it is Erza asking. She wouldn't make me do something like Mira would...
"Dare"
"I dare you to confess to Natsu."
Lucy's face turned red as a tomato. "W-wh-what do you mean Erza? I'm not hiding anything from him! He's my best friend!"
"It's obvious, Lucy. We all know you like him. You should've picked truth. That would've been a harder decision."
Everyone else nodded in agreement with Erza's words.
"F-f-fine. I'll do it"
It's actually happening!
Mirajane passed out in excitement.
The Next Day
Lucy walked into the guild rather late that day. She didn't want to be there to have to confess to Natsu, But Celestial Wizards kept their promises. But, technically, this wasn't a promise. So why was she here? Did she want to tell him after all this time? Certainly not! She couldn't risk ruining their friendship. But, still...
"Hey Lucy!"
She blushed hard. She knew that voice better than she knew her own.
"Hi, Natsu."
"Are you ready to go on a mission? I got this cool one picked out, where we get to -"
Lucy couldn't focus on his words. She was still extremely nervous. She felt like she was being watched, so she turned around. EVERY female guild member's eyes were on her, making sure she went through with her dare. Cana was sober, Juvia was on the OPPOSITE side of the room from Gray, leaving him to stare at her for a change in confusion. Erza and Mira were in bunny suits. Lisanna was the only one who was smart enough to not choose dare... but still, everyone who was told to do something was doing it. Why couldn't she?
"-and the best part is, I get to PURPOSELY destroy stuff! How cool is that?"
As Natsu finished explaining the job, he looked down and saw how red Lucy's face was, and how nervous she looked.
"You feeling alright, Luce? The job can wait if you want..."
"No, it's not that... Natsu, can you come outside with me? I need to ask you something... Alone." Lucy said, putting much emphasis on her last word.
Natsu looked confused, but listened and walked outside with her.
"Natsu... I need to tell you something... I uh-"
"You look really uncomfortable. You don't have to tell me if you don't want, Luce."
He just said I don't have to tell him. Maybe I can just go... No, Lucy! Be strong!
"I have to, Natsu. I-" Lucy started to blush. "I... like...you..."
"That's it? I like you too Luce!"
"Natsu... that's not what I meant... I meant as more than a frie-"
"I know what you meant"
Lucy froze. Did he really just say that? This is NATSU. He's dense as a rock!
"I like you too, Luce"
He leaned in for a kiss and she gladly accepted. They walked back into the guild, hand in hand.
Something that was meant to embarass her instead gave her her first boyfriend.
