Package Delivery to the TARDIS
It wasn't all that uncommon to hear a knock at the door, though it wasn't something he heard every day, either. It was a bit of a shock, actually, since he was on one of his very rare visits to America, instead of in the UK where someone he actually knew might very well see the TARDIS and drop by for a visit. Still, he answered the door, a bit warily, but he answered it...seeing only a young man in a uniform holding a pair of babies in a double carrier.
"You the Doctor?"
"I am." He answered, only to be handed a little machine with a stencil pen of some kind attached. "Oh...I've got mail?"
"Yes sir, you sure do. Bow-tie, check so you're the correct receiver. Everything on the delivery requirement list is checked off...so...we're good then. Okay, then...sign here, please. You're a helluva fella to find, dude. Been havin' to look after your package for the last three weeks. Had to keep reminding 'em s'not to attach cuz they was't for me. Such sad eyes them kid's've got."
"Oh, so sorry." In confusion, he signed off on the delivery, looking around for some sort of wrapped package. Instead, the delivery guy handed him the babies and a small, but very heavy, box. The box was addressed to his ship, not him. They started out rather odd looking, but only for a moment. Then they looked as normal as could be. How strange. The deliveryman handed him a paper receipt, which he took and jammed down into one of his pockets. The mystery was cleared up by the young man as he turned to leave.
"One matched pair of infants, delivered to the Doctor in the TARDIS, as ordered. Happy fatherhood, sir."
"OH, Oh, oh, Oh my...oh dear." He stared at the brand new infants he was holding. "Well, let's get you two indoors, at least." He told the children as he retreated into his ship, closed the door and locked it behind him. He set the box on the console where it promptly disappeared and was followed shortly there after with warbles of glee which made him rather nervous, hauled the paper back out of his pocket and shook the wrinkles out to find out who had ordered children be hand delivered to him. He paused to ask his ship what she'd received.
Live corals that didn't come from me...and they are male!
The Twelfth felt shock all the way to his bones, though he was happy for her. She'd situate the male corals in a garden, he knew, and grow them into TARDIS' tenderly. Glancing down at the originating address on the delivery receipt, he paled. He recognized it, had always managed to dodge them before, but not this time.
"Universal Tezla Placement Authority...?" He half whispered, hearing the tinkling laughter of his ship as she started tickling the babies...he felt the infantile minds attach themselves to his own, indicating that the conversion was complete. These were now Gallifreyan babies. He was only slightly panicked as he read further down the list. "Special order by the Face of Boe?" He recalled the 'You are not alone.' remark and growled. "Jaaaaaaaaaaack..."
