People ask me why I chose Jade to be my girlfriend. People stare at me like I'm crazy sometimes, and I know exactly what's going on in their minds. " How did He put up with her attitude? " " Why? "

Well I don't actually know why I did, I just felt like I needed to. I wanted to. Why? because she fascinates me. The way she acts toward people, her snarky attitude, her looks, the way she seemed to hate everyone and everything around her ( Well except for her best friend Cat. ) He never quite understood why Jade and Cat are friends, they're the opposite of each other for God's sake! How could Jade stand Cat's rants and stories about her crazy brother doing stupid things ?

Anyways, where were we? Oh right, Jade. Well I believe that there's more to Jade than just her I-don't-care-about-you attitude, when I met her, I knew I was taking a risk. But hey, you need to take risks every once in awhile, right?

I was interested to find out who she really was, and what made her like that. I wanted to understand her. I was interested to find out who she was on the inside, and all my attempts soon paid off, we became friends.

Years passed by, and we soon became the IT couple in school. I was her first and she was mine. She was hurt by people both physically and emotionally when she was young, that's why she puts up walls to hide herself, to protect herself from being hurt, and the walls around her resemble the tough girl attitude she developed after everything she's been through.

And that's why I dated her, I wanted her to experience how having a boyfriend feels like, I wanted her to see that not every person you encounter would hurt you, I just wanted her to know that she could always rely on me, I wanted her to feel like she's not alone like she thinks she is.

Why was I so interested in figuring her out? because I cared for her, and honestly, just because of pure curiosity. I put up with her attitude and saw past through her wall, and I fell in love with what was waiting for me on the other side of that wall.
