24 hours after the plane crash…
With her jet black hair whipping behind her she paced the room till the points on her heal began to dull. She had very little patience and this waiting was becoming more and more of a burden. From what seemed like days, the door finally swung open and a woman about the same height but with dirty blonde hair placed tightly in a bun slightly smirked at the anxious woman and said
" If it isn't Victoria Grayson."
Victoria stopped and stared at the woman. Searching from where she knew the familiar face. It finally hit her; it was the woman who destroyed the man she loved.
"Hmm…I thought you died." Victoria said with intrigue.
"Which time." The woman began to laugh.
"When can I leave."? Victoria said starting to get tired of this conversation.
"O, calm down, Victoria or I mean Vicky. Just like old times. You get the dirt and then report back to me."
" I didn't know I would be dealing with you again." Victoria said turning her back.
" Awe, still holding onto the past I can see. Can not let dead dogs lie."
" You always thought you were the funny one. But I think they had it wrong."
" Vicky and Paige, we were a dynamic duo back in the day."
" We did have some fun youthful discretions. Until I found out you were a back stabbing piranha."
" I was doing my job. I never meant to hurt you or anyone, Victoria."
"Like how you let David die or abandon your little girl."
Paige slightly clenched her jaw and fist.
" O yes, your daughter is still very much alive, I saw her recently. Not what I expected but I can see a similarity to you. Untamed."
Paige stood silently for a few moments and quickly changed her tone.
" The debriefing will start in 30 min. My partner Owen will take you and Lydia to the lavatory and to get a meal. You will then be escorted to your safe house. Welcome to the witness protection program."
" Hmm…. business as usual with you. No wonder David loved me all the more."
Paige turned and slammed the door behind her.
Paige had buried that past, she brainwashed herself into believing she could never look back. She was never married to David Clark and never had a child named Amanda. But now seeing Victoria, her old life came flooding back. At one point she was a mother and a wife. She was not always a CIA operative that was banded from having a real life. It was a path she chose long ago and it was the only path she would follow. Even now she could not let her emotions cloud her judgment. After thirty years they were going to be able to take out the terrorist section that has been hiding on American soil through Grayson Global. This was everything she had worked for since she her first day out of college. Victoria was key to making this happen. Whatever Victoria would throw at her she would hit back three times harder.
