AN: Just a quick drabble on a possible family outing. Yes, I do know that King Henry didn't really take part in the lives of his children, but oh well. Enjoy the read!
She walked on ahead with the boys, Francis by her side. Henry trailed behind with Diane on his arm, she was twittering in his ear about the latest fashions of Paris, and he couldn't care in the slightest. Young Henry and Charles were pulling her toward the lake, and she had no choice but to be led. Francis was laughing with his younger brothers, encouraging them to pull their mother faster. They did so, and though she chastised them, they all knew she wasn't actually upset with them. Eventually, they all made it to the lake and Francis was showing his brothers how to skip rocks. She tried as well, but her rock just plonked into the lake instead. Little Henry giggled and Catherine began tickling him in retribution. She held him to her, tickling his sides as Francis did the same with Charles. The laughter of his family brought a smile to his face and he told Diane to return to the castle.
