The Secret Engagement
Not long after being engaged Bianca and Marissa had another long talk about when they were going to tell everyone they were going to get married.
As they laid in bed together the morning after they got engaged Marissa faced Bianca.
"When should we tell everyone we're engaged?" Marissa asked a little excited, but Bianca sighed.
"Honey, do you really think it's a good idea for us to tell everyone right now that we're engaged?" Bianca asked as she took hold of Marissa's hand kissing each finger and the center of her palm lovingly. There was something about Bianca that made Marissa agree to almost anything she said, or did.
"Maybe you're right, but we have to talk to the kids and tell them not to tell anyone then." Marissa said with a soft smile. "Do you think we could have a private wedding? Just me, you and the kids?" She asked getting a little more excited and Bianca began to think. "Please, baby… No Erica. No Krystal. No Pine Valley drama." Marissa stated as she began to kiss Bianca's neck after every word which made Bianca go crazy.
"You're very persuasive Ms. Tasker ." She said to her fiancee.
"Mrs. Montgomery to you." Marissa retorted with a cheeky grin. But, before anything could go further that morning the kids knocked on the door not waiting for a response they ran in jumping on their parents bed.
"Good morning!" The kids yelled as they leaped on the bed, giggles and laughs filled the room while morning hugs and kisses were given.
"So, what should we do today?" Bianca asked the kids as got comfortable between their parents. AJ was next to Bianca with his head on her shoulders, then Gabby was next to Marissa, while Miranda was smack dab in the middle of their perfect family.
"Can we just spend the day together in bed watching movie, eating junk food?" Miranda asked. "But, before you guys answer that AJ, Gabby, and I were thinking if we could call both of you mom?" When the women heard those words both their eyes filled with tears, they looked at each other.
"Its up to Marissa." Bianca said not only smiling, but beaming in joy and an amazing after glow.
"Well, I'd love it if you girls called me mom and I think your mom would love it if AJ called her mom as well. But, you guys have to do one thing for us. Not tell anyone that me and mom are engaged." Marissa told them which they all nodded in agreement.
"Its set. Today is a movie day with the family, we're both your moms and our engagement is a secret." Bianca said with a giggle since it sounded a little crazy saying it out loud.
"That about sums it up." Marissa said as she gently stroked Gabrielle's hair.
As the day went on the five of them watched movies in bed while eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course snacks in between. But, somehow between changing movies, getting up for food, then there is the occasional getting up to go to the bathroom, Bianca ended up next to Marissa and the kids scattered different places.
"This is perfect, you know?" Marissa whispered in Bianca's ear not trying to distract the kids from the movie they were watching.
"Its absolutely amazing. I'm glad we found each other." She replied as she kissed Marissa on the cheek.
"I love you." They said at the same time and went back to watching 'Rio'.
