A Shoulder to cry on
"Shane, I just thought you'd want to know that back when Mitchie and I were friends, she told me that she was gonna make up some kind of sob story to get you to like her. I mean I thought that a sweet guy like you would deserve better," Tess said to Shane right before her Limo took off from camp.
"Oh my gosh. I believed her once, and it was a mistake. And it turned out to be part of a big scam to date the hot lead singer?" Shane was so mad, he let his instincts take over.
"You're right, I do deserve better... like you," he said to Tess, and leaned down to kiss her. They got so involved, they didn't see Mitchie walk up behind her.
"Shane, there is no way that little witch is telling the truth! You know how messed up she is! Go apologize to Mitchie, now, Shane," Jason said to his best friend.
"No, she already lied to me once, so why should I believe her now?" Shane shouted.
"What about that girl Tess? She lied about Mitchie stealing the bracelet!" Jason countered.
"But what if Mitchie really did steal it?" Shane said, anger building up as his face turned red.
"She didn't. I wish you knew what you were throwing away," Jason said, walking out of the room.
Jason went to a nearby park to let go of his anger toward his best friend. He was the luckiest guy in the world, and throwing it all away. What a gullible idiot.
What he didn't expect is for Mitchie to sit down in the same park, on the same bench, for the same reason. Mitchie only wished that Shane knew the truth, instead of believing that cat, Tess.
"Jason? Why aren't you with Shane?" Mitchie said, wiping a stray tear from her face.
"Because he is being total jerk," was his simple response.
"Can't you convince him that he is making the wrong decision?" Mitchie asked through her sobs.
"No. I don't want to. He is a total jerk. And he doesn't deserve you, so no," Jason said. "You deserve so much better."
"Like who? Where will I find a guy as nice as I thought Shane was?" the almost unrecognizable girl asked.
"Well I'm hoping you're looking at him," Jason responded, with a small smile.
"I think you're right," she said, with an anxious looking smile. "What now?"
"I think we're supposed to kiss," the older of the two responded.
"I think you may be right," she replied to him. They both leaned in, and shared a long and passionate kiss.
