He always smiles to his customers. Your customers won't come back if you don't smile to them, it was called service courtesy, Yamamoto Tsuyoshi always says. That's why whenever his son's friends come to their sushi restaurant, however strange or dangerous they are, he always smiles.
He smiles to Sawada-kun, who would always smiles back but it would also be followed by a deep frown formed on his forehead. The frown went deeper each passing years, he noticed. He would then say to the boy, now a man, to smile while waving his knife dangerously in front of him. The frown on Sawada-kun's forehead would cease and then he would smile to him wholeheartedly. Even though Yamamoto Tsuyoshi could still see it in his eyes, the heavy burden he was forced to take, he would smile to that boy turned young man.
He smiles to Gokudera-kun, who would never smiles back. His son always told him about the best friend of his who had a very rude mouth and only smiles to Sawada-kun. Whenever Gokudera-kun came to Takesushi with Sawada-kun, he noticed that he was really, only smiles to Sawada-kun. And whenever his son joined Gokudera-kun and Sawada-kun, while his son would always had his trademark smile plastered to his face, Gokudera-kun would most definitely had his trademark scowl plastered permanently to his forehead.
He smiles to Lambo-kun, who in his younger years had always eat and run with Reborn-kun and Bianchi-san. Lambo-kun always smiles back to him wholeheartedly and making the female guests swooning over him.
He smiles to Sasagawa-kun, who would always give him his most EXTREME bright smile. He would then have to cover his eyes and ears because Sasagawa-kun was really, literally, shining like a sun if he asked him about his favorite sport.
He smiles to Chrome-chan, who would smile back hesitantly. That girl turned young woman would always offer to help him wash the dishes if they happen to stay until the shop was closed.
He even smiles to Hibari-kun, who would never ever smiles back to him. Yamamoto Tsuyoshi would then choose to keep his distance from the oldest of his son's friends circle.
He was really happy because his son had so many friends around him. It was not because his son never had friends before. But, the smile on his son's face after he met Sawada-kun and Gokudera-kun and his other best friends, was brighter than ever.
One of these days, his son and best friends rarely visits him in the restaurant. His son would say that they were busy with their own jobs. His son would always smile to him if he asked what they do for a living. But his son never answers the question.
Even though his son and best friends never come to his restaurant anymore this past six months, he was still smiling to his customers. Because it's service courtesy, he would always say.
So, he smile when a group of man, dressed in sleek black suit (he realized his son and his best friends always wore the same kind of suit too), barged in to his restaurant, without knowing the fact that it would be his last smile to his last customers.
