He flung Sora's apartment door open only to find her running around frantically, as she vacuumed the carpet, fluffed pillows and baked cookies. Simultaneously. He cautiously slipped out of his shoes and waited until she realized he was there. When she finally noticed, she must have jumped three feet in the air. Clutching a hand to her chest, she exclaimed, "How long have you been standing there?"

Taichi shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe five minutes."

She shut off the vacuum and silence fell around them. After a few seconds Sora cocked her head to the side and asked, "Well? Are you going to come in?"

He nodded and sank into the nearest armchair. He sat in the living room, listening to the sounds she made in the kitchen. The timer rang and he could imagine her opening the oven and pulling out a freshly-baked sheet of cookies. It smelled delicious. "Sora," he began, talking rather loudly so she could hear, "I think I have to tell you something."

She walked towards him with a few warm cookies on a plate. He knew, at that moment, that he absolutely loved her. "Okay," she said, settling down in the armchair opposite. She had put a glass of milk on the table next to him. "What is it?"

"I'm kind of in love with you." It was a statement, and he was surprised that he had actually said it. Again, silence filled the air.

"Oh," she replied, and it seemed to echo in his ears. He was about to panic; she hadn't said anything else. Until, "only 'kind of'?"

Taichi grinned.

I haven't written Digimon in a LONG time. I don't own it.
