"Have we taken the handbag?"

"Yes."

"The laptop…"

"Yes."

"Where is th-"

"Misaki, relax, I'm not as irresponsible as you think."

The brunette gave his partner a doubtful look and flopped into his seat. The author has finally taken some time off to go on a vacation after yet another successful publishing.

"Even if you did forget something, it's too late to go retrieve it."

"…"

Truthfully speaking, it was Misaki's first time on an airplane, so he was excited, and nervous. So very nervous, that he gripped his seat so tight that his knuckles turned white. However, awe soon overtook any other feelings as he looked out the window and observed how everything that once seemed so big, now looked tiny and insignificant. Emerald eyes reflected the early morning sky, losing any signs of tiredness - the after effect of not being able to fall asleep due to excitement: like of a kid before a school field trip.

"Your nose is going to get stuck to the window at the rate you're pressing against it." Usami chuckled, "Are the endless green-bray patches that interesting?"

Misaki turned around, too awe-struck to pout or object. Instead he asked,

"Do you remember your first time on an airplane?"

"Not really. I was very young."

"Ah, is that so…"

"But, I remember my first time of a Ferris wheel, and that was the best above-ground experience I had till now." Lavender met emerald.

Misaki blushed, and turned back to face the window, his mind suddenly replaying their simple date, originally for research material for Usami Akihiko's (or 'Akikawa Yayoi's) BL novel, but ending up with revealing Usami's insecure side, and Misaki's confession.

Misaki's trail of thought broke as a soft voice cooed his name into his ear. He turned around only to have his lips stollen.

"Usage san! What was that for?! We are in PUBLIC." Misaki whisper-scolded whilst looking around, owl-eyed, praying that nobody was a witness to Usami's crime.

"I crave nicotine." The rabbit was irate.

"That's not an excuse."

"I need small doses of Misaki to beat the need."

"Your reason is not even connected to your actions."

USA just shrugged his shoulders, faking innocence. The boy understood long ago that there was no winning against this overgrown, stubborn child. But it's always a try.

"Why don't you work on your manuscript as a distraction instead."

"Switching on any electronic devices is against the rules, Misaki." Usami smirked.

"We're in-flight, it is completely accepted. Don't try to fool me, Usage-san."

"You sure learned your stuff."

"Don't change the subject." Misaki waved his index finger - 'like a mother', thought Usami.

"I'm on vacation."

"Why the laptop, then?"

"To store copies of all the adorable photos of my adorable Misaki."

"Permission denied!" Misaki turned away from the offender to hide his burning face. The silvered succeeds to get his attention even with all the beautiful scenery passing by bellow.

The brunette set his focus on the blue rivers, connecting like spider webs, and green planes with occasional bundles of houses when he felt all the familiar sensation of the big, cool hand on top of his head.

"Alright, Misaki, you win. No more kisses… I'm suddenly…tired. Has to be last night… Too much… excitement." His left hand left the soft hair a mess, and then fell beside the half-asleep man.

For Misaki, it turned out, that the view outside was all the more mesmerizing with the presence of his loved one by his side. And all Usami's hand did was leave Misaki craving for it to pet his head again.
