- Corporal. Oi, Corporal!-
- What the heck...-
He was just paralized. Humanity's strongest couldn't help but stand and stare.
Her sharpened face. Her hazelnut eyes. Her ginger hair. Her expression, always so focused and sweet at the same time.

She was standing right in front of him.

-Petra...-
He couldn't believe to his own eyes. His mouth felt like stone. Speaking was hard.
- How can you... Are you real?-

So many things on his mind. Mostly, regrets and mistakes.

And then she smiled. Her lovely, beautiful smile.

- Listen to me, corporal. Please. I'm not supposed to be here talking to you, but I was too worry about you. You're letting yourself go. I see it. You're not the same, corporal, and I do understand why. I know it's hard. And I'm sorry. But, like it or not, you're still alive, and you have to live your life no matter what. Do it for me. For all of us. We no longer have the chance to sense fresh air or see the color of the sky, but you have. You cannot waste it. You need to fight, otherwise our death is in vain.-
-Petra...-
-Corporal, please. We don't have much time.- she was looking at him with her big Bamby eyes. God, he hadn't realized just how much he was missing her.

It wasn't just something in the extremely tasting tea she used to make.

- I just want to be sure to tell you everything. So just fight. For humanity and for yourself. Fight and win. I know you can. And don't be in such a rush to join us, corporal. Live your life.- she kept silence for a bit.-Love. I know right now this feels impossible, but you have to. Because you deserve. So, please, at least try to be happy. Besides, I'm not going anywhere. I'll be waiting here the whole time and I'll keep on looking after you as I've always done. When the time comes, we'll be finally together.-
-Petra, there's something I never said to you...-
- I know. And yes, I do too.- her voice sounded soft as summer breeze. Then she put her punch on her chest. -It's been a honor, corporal Levi.-
Her silouhette started fading away, getting blurred.
-No, Petra, wait... I...-
- Goodbye, corporal. We'll meet again eventually. I promise.-
-Petra!-
Black. Darkness all over again. He was alone again.
He didn't really want to open up his eyes. Somehow, the illusion, the perchance of the dream still got a hold on him. Maybe if he tried to sleep again, to get back to the dream... To her... Just a little bit more...
Too late.
Levi knew that.
He opened his eyes. He was in his bedroom, the silvery light coming from the window. A soft cold breez was spreading through the room.
Petra...
Her words still echoed in his mind.
She was right. Honestly, he had no clue if what he dreamed was nothing more than dream or perhaps... Could it be? All he knew was that Petra was right. He had to keep on fighting. For her. For Günter, Erd, Oluo. For Isabel and Farlan. For everyone who had always believed in him. Everyone who had died for him.
Besides, Petra said she would be waiting for him. They all would. His friends. They were always with him. Something of them, their strenght, their ideals, were still living inside of him. He carried all of them in his heart all the time.
I promise. None of your death will be in vain.

I won't let you down. Not this time.
