The moon shining down on me,
The face over mine;
Reminds me of things, I will not live to see.
I see images of the futer,
As well of the past.
Filling my head,
Till it explodes.
The falling of a species,
the rise of another.
Battle's we've fought.
With all our strength.
For one reason or another,
We all fought.
And the next one-
The next one i will not see.
Please, Rachel.
Don't cry for me.
Don't feel bad or have pity,
Because I have lost.
Just remember me always.
Fight for what I lost.
Tonight in these woods,
in this cool evening air.
A soul will be laid to rest.
Another will be born.
Soon i will die.
The battle will end.
And I will fight--
Never Again.
Never again will i hear the screams,
Nor will I feel the pain.
Because I will die.
And laying here,
in this cool night air.
Her face over mine.
Filled with dispair.
She leans close to me,
and kisses my head.
"It'll be ok," She tells me.
I laugh very little.
Yet what strength it takes up.
"It's ok, I know." I reply.
"I know i will die"
I'm getting weaker now.
Her hand in mine.
I squeese it weakly.
"Good bye, Tobias."
And she kisses my cheek.
"Good bye, Rachel"
I gather up my strength,
The little I have.
"I will always be with you in spirit.
There to show you the way.
We will...meet..."
"Tobias! Don't go!"
She almost cried out.
"...Again..."
I glanced around me.
I see the others.
Sanding there.
I see a tear in Jake's eye.
I look up into her eyes.
The warm icy blue.
"Goodbye, Rachel."
I squeese her hand,
as tight as i can.
And with my last diying strength.
I say but three words.
"I....love.....you..."
