Lorna was sitting outside on the grass. She had wanted to be alone for a while. She was getting tired of this place. The only thing that gave her hope was planning her wedding but she knew that it wouldn't happened. Christopher hasn't visited her the entire time she's been locked up in this hellhole. She knew that had meant he gave up. That she wasn't a thought in his mind anymore. But she was still planning it. It's not like she had anything better to do, anyway.
She imagined what her dream wedding would be like. It would be nice. They would honeymoon in Bora Bora Bora (as she called it.) She would wake up to the love of her life every morning. It would be perfect. But it wasn't happening.
"Morello!" Nicky shouted. "What's up? Why are you sitting out here by yourself?"
"Oh you know, just thinking about things." Lorna said. Nicky took a seat next to her on the grass.
She poked Lorna's side. "Whatcha thinking about? Christopher? Cause I know I said all that shit before about how I don't want to hear it.. but if it's making you upset, I'll listen."
Lorna looked at her. She was trying to get words out but it was difficult, admitting the truth about things. "You were right this entire time. He doesn't want me. I've known that. I've just wanted to push that idea out of my head. I just.. I don't know what to do."
"I'm sorry, Morello." Nicky said. She hated seeing Lorna hurt. "You deserve happiness and it sucks that he can't be the one to do that."
Secretly, Nicky was happy about this news. She had wanted Lorna for the longest time and she thought she had her at some point but was disappointed when Lorna ended things. She shouldn't have been thinking like this but she couldn't help thinking that this might mean another chance for them.
"Maybe I'm just meant to be alone." Lorna sighed.
"No, you're not! You'll find someone, I promise. You're a great person and if people don't think so then fuck them."
Lorna was staring at the ground, picking out pieces of grass. "I don't know."
"Hey, kid. Look at me." Nicky said, moving Lorna's chin up so she was facing her. She placed her hand on the side of her face.
"You're amazing and every good thing in the world." Nicky continued. "And you need to smile. You have a beautiful smile."
This made Lorna cheer up a little and she couldn't help but smile. "Thank you."
"No problem." Nicky grinned back at her. "Now get up and let's go inside. There's no more being sad, okay?"
Lorna nodded. "Whatever you say, Nichols."
