i dont know this is so terrible but i just wanted to write something cute and adorable and amg the feels ;u;
also the only thing that even comes close to rivaling my love for daisy/jay is my love for jay/nick

Watching the two of them dancing together alone in his huge, elaborate ballroom, Jay Gatsby honestly couldn't tell who he loved more.
Nick, old sport, his new friend he had met barely a few weeks ago or Daisy, the one and only beautiful soul, amazing as always.

They seemed to bring out the best in each other.

Gatsby loved how relaxed Nick was when with Daisy. He didn't have to be on his absolute best behavior; he didn't have to word his sentences rich and full of diamonds, to show others that he wasn't just a fortunate small town contry boy to be stepped on(not that he was. Nick was far better and smarter than most rich, power-hungry people Jay had met).
With Daisy though, Nick was just calm, not watching every move he makes, trying to make sure he doesn't trip up. He was just himself.

Gatsby also loved how Daisy smiled at Nick; how Nick was able to make Daisy smile like that without even trying. Daisy's smile right now as Nick playfully twisted and turned her on her pretty white heels along with the piano was genuine. Not forced, not fake, just beautiful. He loved it. It reminded Jay of how Daisy looked at him before. Before he was rich and famous. Before she was married and rich also. When they were both still young adults; when Daisy's eyes were filled with playfullness and not amazement.

When Daisy looked at him like she looked at everyone else, not a millionaire that basically owned half of WallStreet.

He loved both of them. He loved how Nick was so caring and kind. Doing things without a reward. Unlike the other so-called 'friends' Gatsby had. He loved how Daisy had still loved him even after five years of separation. How she pretended to love someone else for the sake of her family. It was generosity. Both of them were filled with it. Generosity must run in their family.

Watching the two of them dance together alone in his ballroom, Jay Gatsby loved both Daisy Buchanan and Nick Carraway.
