It's just something I whipped up at ten o'clock at night... I love Toph's POV

Toph strode back to the table she and Iroh had shared before Sokka's presentation of his crude (according to the other people around her) group portrait. With her feet back up on the table, she just missed Katara leaving the tea shop after Aang, who had left moments ago.
Toph heard the group settle back into their seats, Iroh playing his Tsungi Horn again. After all the commotion months ago, the music allowed her to relax and quietly sip her tea. She could faintly make out the clacks of Suki and Mai placing their tiles on the Pai Sho board, and the brush strokes as Sokka tried to upgrade his painting. Momo chattered away near her, but she wasn't sure where, and Toph could also heed Zuko pulling up a chair by Mai. Warmth from the outside sun crept up upon her bare hands, Appa sighing outside from the same heat. Toph couldn't help but smile; it was all over. Even if, she admitted, Zuko, Sokka, Katara, and Aang had been on this quest longer than she had, Toph still knew she had been a part of it. Big or small, she didn't mind. Let the free world decide.
Toph shifted her body, the position she was in becoming suddenly uncomfortable. Placing her tea where her feet once lay, Toph let her pale toes reach the stone floor, warmed by the sun as well. The raven haired girl suddenly jerked back in surprise, her bangs swinging about her face for a second. Iroh noted the change in the girl, and stopped his music.
"Something wrong, Toph?" Iroh asked, Toph slowly recovering from her shock in a second. Her astonished open mouth expression turned into another smile, yet held a smug air to it.
Toph once again opened her mouth to say something, and was about to announce what her feet had just witnessed. She even knew what she was going to say: 'Hey guys, I'm not surprised, but… Twinkle toes finally got some guts!' But she, for once, thought twice and only shook her head in response to the old firebender.
She'd wait until the two walked back in.
