A story I wrote about Holmes and Evil Squirrels. It's a great laugh... if you like bloody battle scenes. R&R!

The Mystery Of The Evil Squirrels

Holmes rounded the corner. The squirrels were following him. It was very SUSPICIOUS. Very suspicious indeed. Just the other day he had a very interesting case about a man that was brutally murdered, with no evidence of the killer. The day before, the man was attacked by three squirrels. They were believed to have rabies. It was very peculiar, all of it.

Holmes had been investigating the the murder when a swarm of squirrels gathered around the bedroom window. They seemed to be watching him. Half the squirrels were trying to gnaw through the window. Furiously tapping on the glass did not even make a dent in the window. It was beyond Holmes to know how they were supposed to make a dent in the window, but that was beside the point. Holmes had to get out of there.

The squirrels were invading the house. Holmes ran through the front door, and hopped in his car. The ignition wouldn't start. Holmes opened the door of the car, and started running. He rounded the corner on North Avenue. He got to the library. Unfortunately for Holmes, it was a Saturday, and the library was closed. "What the freaking HECK! It's a PUBLIC LIBRARY for goodness SAKE!" Holmes declared, as he kept running.

Suddenly, Holmes felt something large and hard hit the back of his head. "WHAT THE FREAKIN' HECK!!" Holmes turned around. He was astonished at what he saw. The squirrels had formed an army! They were attacking Wal-Mart with nut cannons. They shot a nut Over The Hedge. But, then all off the sudden, the chipmunks approached the squirrels. It was a bloody battle for more than an hour.

An idea popped into Sherlock's mind. He knew who the murderers were. It was the squirrels.

The battle ended, and the squirrels were arrested. They were sent to prison, and charged with aggravated assult, felony, and first degree murder.

And, as Holmes always said, All's well that ends well.
