Zelda's Song

In that land in which I was born,

In that land in which life was good,

In that land my heart cried.

For I saw my homeland burn,

I saw my people suffer and die,

Pierced through by desert wind.

From the west the wind blew,

With its armies so strong,

The heart of my land bled

When to the desert land it fell.

I watched my land burn,

As away from it I ran.

I cried for Hyrule's freedom

For seven long years,

I awaited the hero of my land,

For my people's freedom I awaited him.

My land was then freed

From the dark oppression of the desert land.

And a healing wind blew across my land.

The many wounds of my tear stained land

Were cleansed and healed,

And the tears washed away.
