Felt like writing something fluffy. Enjoy!
The Doctor jumped around the Tardis console room, doing the standard checks and repairs. He slowed down a little, feeling himself start to wear out. It had been a long day of running, and it has been awhile since he'd slept. Rose had insisted that they head back to the Tardis and rest, and he was starting to feel thankful for that. Then he realized he hadn't seen Rose in awhile. She had probably just gone to bed, but he felt his hearts thump in nervousness. He didn't like not knowing where she was. He walked over to the railing and looked around, and he saw her leaning up against the back wall. He smiled.
"Tired?" She didn't respond, but nodded. She smiled at him sleepily. He walked over to her and slid down the wall until he sat next to her. She moved a little closer and rested her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes. He smiled again, and couldn't help but to think how beautiful she was. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and stroked her cheek until he heard her breathing even out. She shivered, her bare shoulders against the cold metal of the Tardis. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap, listening to her breath, enjoying just being close to her. He pressed his forehead to hers and say there until he almost fell asleep. He didn't want to get up, but he knew he had to. He lifted her up and carried her to her bedroom, where he gently laid her on the bed. He looked down at her with a smile on his face, then leaned down and put a featherlight kiss on her forehead. He walked to the door and looked back on her sleeping figure. "Sweet dreams Rose," he said softly, closing the door.
What he didn't know was that she'd been awake the whole time.
"Sweet dreams, my Doctor," she whispered as she drifted off to sleep.
