I was really bored today... and I've been wanting to write one of these for a while. This first one is kind of pointless, but I want to write more, and turn it into a sort of collection of oneshots, I guess. The title sucks, but it will have to do. Please read and review!!!!

Pairing: DoumekixWatanuki, from xxxHolic

Disclaimer: I don't own Doumeki, or Watanuki, or Himawari. They belong to CLAMP.

Watanuki wasn't quite sure how he had ended up there.

He had always hated those places: squeaky, uncomfortable seats, the stench of some sort of confection that was rotting under a seat somewhere. And the darkness. The spirits were always the worst there, and he never got to enjoy the movie. Always, always, always they never ceased to pester him.

He grumbled something under his breath, stuffing a handful of buttery popcorn into his mouth. They actually aren't that bad today, he thought to himself, feeling their presence in the back of the theatre, but they were making no attempt to come and "visit". He knew why, of course. Doumeki just had to come with him. And then Himawari-chan couldn't come… Watanuki huffed in a depressed sort of way.

He glared at the screen, hearing the screams of the people around him accompanied by the climactic background music. If Himawari-chan was here, she would scream and clutch my arm in fear… and I could- He was interrupted by something prodding the back of his head.

Well, that could never be good. His back stiffened, now sensing the large spirit lurking behind him. Doumeki glanced at him, eyebrows knitted together in slight concern.

"Are they here?" he muttered, looking around and not noticing anything. Watanuki nodded. He sighed, and scrunched his nose in an attempt to ignore the smell of the filthy cinema that was being amplified by the spirit behind him.

In a sudden movement, Doumeki put his arm across Watanuki's shoulders, and dragged him closer to him.

"What the hell are you doing?!" the smaller boy whispered angrily, trying to move away from him, but Doumeki was too strong.

"The spirits will stay away." Doumeki knew it was just an excuse, but it seemed to be working. Watanuki stopped fidgeting, even though his face was a deep shade of red. He noticed as the film gradually progressed that the spirits seemed to be backing away. "Hey, can you let me go now?!" he asked, peeved by the situation. "The spirits are leaving."

Doumeki shook his head. "I don't believe you."

"I wouldn't lie about that," he muttered, pulling away. Doumeki smirked, and tightened his grip on the flighty boy.

"Well, its either this or you have to sit on my lap."

"HELL NO!!!!"
