It's lonely in this room. It's bright and colorful walls do nothing to lighten up my mood. My brother sits in the corner with clouded brown eyes while my sister, with blond curls dancing around her head, giggles away at a cat she sees out the window. We are at the doctor's office getting our yearly check ups. Right now I'm waiting for my mom to get back so we can leave. I hate this place, it's way too kid friendly and positive.

I sigh and slouch even more in my seat. 'What could possibly be taking mom so long' I wondered to myself. I decided to get up and stretch when mom got back with a stupid cheerful grin on her face.

"Good news!" she says all peppy like, "You guys are all fine and dandy. And won't need to come back till next year. Isn't that just wonderful!" 'That was just wonderful news', I thought sarcastically. I got up and picked up my brother like a baby. He protested and kicked me, but I held on to him saying I wanted to get out of here as fast as I can and he walked to slow for me anyways.

I hurried everyone into the elevator, and pressed the down button. We got into the car and I turned the radio to my favorite country station. Blaring the music so I didn't have to listen to anyone. We were heading down the interstate and my brother and sister were getting pretty annoyed at my choice of music. My mom turned it down, and I just stared at her. When she finally looked at me and asked what the matter was, I screamed and her, "Why did you turn it down, I was listening to that!"

"Well the rest of us would like it quiet for a bit." she said back.

"But you said I could be in charge of the music, and that includes the volume." I retorted.

We started yelling at each other not paying attention to the road. That was until my sister let out a high pitched scream as we went over the bridge part of the road, pointing ahead. My mom and I both turned and looked out the windshield noticing we were in the wrong lane.

Our car was torn apart, parts scattering everywhere across the bridge. My mom skidded across the road rubbing her skin to the bone. My brother got a concussion and some scratches while my sister was fine, except for her left knee which was bent at an odd angle. This was all I saw before a white light flashed before me and I was crushed.
