10% luck: - to Daniel everything that SG1 did always required a bit of luck, ok more than a bit. Either way whatever they did they always needed to have luck on their side. Weather it was fighting false gods, or simply managing to get to work the day after a team night out. Everything they did required quite a bit of luck on their part.
20% skill: - when Mitchell was a hostage of the sodan, he noticed how much skill came in to play, with their everyday lives. If someone had a skill with a blade then they were one of the warriors, if someone had a skill with the pottery wheel then they became a potter. No matter what someone's skill was they found a job that they could do. Mitchell just wished he had half the skill that the sodan had, as he looked up at the sky from the ground, when he had been defeated once again.
15% power of will: - as jack looked out of his cell door once again, he wondered just how he had managed to let carter convince him to come on what looked like a peaceful meet and greet mission. He should have remembered that were SG1 was, trouble was soon to follow. After all he had led them for close to 10 years. Staring at the cell door jack thought to him-self I can do this, I can get out before the others find out and have to save my sorry ass, and after all he thought all it takes is the power of will.
5% pleasure: - being stranded on a beach planet with Daniel was hardly a chore for Vala. After all it meant some time alone with the man she loved. Where could be the bad in that, and as Vala lay snuggled up in Daniel's arms later that night in the camp they had built, she thought that being on SG1 wasn't just about fighting, there's some pleasure n it to, and with that she drifted off to sleep.
50% pain: - Samantha carter looked over at her team mate/brother as she heard him scream again from the torturer that their current captors where putting them both through. She was glad that Mitchell, Daniel and Vala had got through the gate, as it meant they would be coming back with reinforcements soon. Teal'c looked over at his team mate/sister as she too started to scream from the torturer, and he thought about how when he had first started his training Bra'tac had told him the physical torturer wouldn't hurt as much as the pain of seeing a friend/ family member go through it. At fist Teal'c had disagreed but now he could see how right his old mentor's words were.
And 100% reason to remember the name:- looking at the team stood before the gate General hank Landry couldn't help but think, that the life of an SG1 team member was 10% luck that they survived at all, 20% skill that made them the best at what they do, 15% power of will to see even the most hopeless plan through, 5% pleasure from the love they had for and from one another, 50% pain from the deaths and blood that was on their hands. But most of all they gave the enemy 100% reason to remember their names.
And as SG1 headed through the gate again he knew that they would give this new enemy 200% reason to wish they had never messed with SG1.
