Chapter One

It was an average day in the world of Flyff. On the continent Flaris, Boxgirl was doing her daily routine of wiping out some of the nyangnyangs just like every morning. Little happened in a few hours, though she did find plenty of penya and starstones. Even though she was already ranked level ten she couldn't do much about her appearance. It seemed as though Boxgirl's short, dark blue hair was getting straighter, and duller every day, and her light blue eyes seemed filled boredom. She started to think about how long it would take to be ranked level fifteen. She couldn't wait, for at level fifteen you could get a job. She had seen so many acrobats, mercenaries, assists, and magicians go by that she was getting more psyched by the second. She was still deciding what she would be when she got a job. As an acrobat she could use a yo-yo or archery. She did enjoy archery. As a mercenary she could slice her opponents in two with a sword or an axe, but she rather didn't like axes. If she were to be an assist, she could help people, heal them and revive them. Boxgirl loves people. She thinks they are the most complex and interesting things she has ever known. Boxgirl thought about these three for a moment. She then wondered about magicians. Remembering her fascination of magic and love of staffs, she knew what she would become. Her eyes twinkled at the thought of being a magician soon. Only five more levels, she thought to herself. With that, she began attacking nyangnyangs with a new burst of energy. By the end of the day she was level fourteen. Only one more level to go! She was so excited she was about ready to cry. She went to town, selling what she didn't need and putting in the bank things she wanted. She wasn't exactly rich. She paid her own way of course. She has been saving penya in her bank account as far as she could remember. She was saving up for items from whatever job she took. There was also something else she was eager to have, a broom. When you get your job, you are only five levels away from being allowed to fly. Brooms and hover boards are expensive though. She knew she wouldn't be able to get the best but at least she was hoping to afford something. Boxgirl pondered where she would be sleeping tonight. Boxgirl didn't have a "home." She pretty much lived everywhere. She liked to sleep in the fields, but not as much as she liked the trees. She would sleep anywhere she felt comfortable. She had to stay alert at night as well. Monsters, other people, and who knows what else could lurk in the dark. She would not be an "unsuspecting" victim, at the very least. She didn't have any friends, not really. Occasionally someone might help her with a task or offer to trade items. Beside those encounters, she didn't have anyone to help take shifts into the night. As she thought about everything that happened that day, she slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
