His movements were far more graceful than he would ever know. His feet never stopped moving, his arms moved in precise arcs and every twist of his body was expertly executed. His eyes, so very expressive and human, were closed allowing him to imagine his opponents better. He dropped down and swept his leg across before fluidly moving into another position. His brows were drawn in concentration, but a smirk pulled at the corners of his lips. He paused for a short moment and his fingers twitched before he jumped into another move.

Ironhide sat a bit away merely observing Yusuke as he continued to practice. Demons were like humans to Ironhide, if he stepped on one or blasted it with his cannon the result was the same. Unfortunately some demons were quick enough to avoid the first two attempts and were strong enough to pierce or melt his armor. That's why he was with Yusuke, to learn all he could about the strange creatures and learn the best way to terminate them. It was proving to be a painstakingly long process. There were many different types of demons with various ways to attack and Yusuke had only just begun to break the ice.

However, Yusuke was both the teacher and student. While he knew how to take down a demon, Ironhide was in the process of teaching him how to take down a decepticon. He didn't know if the young demon would ever come into contact with one, but it was better to be prepared. For some reason he didn't want to see him harmed.

"Hey buddy! You got a glitch or something?" Yusuke had finished and was now standing in front of him with a towel hanging around his neck. "And you say I space out too much," he sniggered.

"I was not 'spacing out' as you put it," Ironhide huffed indignantly.

"All right then. You were gazing at the sun because you thought it beautiful beyond comparison." Yusuke laughed when Ironhide looked ready to flick him to Bermuda. Heaven knows he's already threatened to. "So if you weren't sun gazing or spacing out what were you doing?" Yusuke questioned when he had calmed down.

"Thinking," Ironhide replied a bit sharply. Yusuke simply looked up at him for several long moments before shrugging.

"I liked sun gazing better." He let out another bark of laughter when Ironhide lowered his hand near Yusuke. "Okay okay! No more teasing the giant robot, I get it!" He leaned against Ironhide's leg and let out a few deep breaths to calm himself. Yusuke was a strong demon and could take care of himself very well, but when he stood next to Ironhide he looked small and fragile. All Ironhide would have to do is close his hand around him and that would be the end of his existence.

Bumblebee was always extra careful when Sam was in their base and rarely ever let him out of his sight when Sunstreaker and Sideswipe had first arrived. The twins hadn't been accustomed to having a human around and being there had been more dangerous than usual for Sam. Ironhide hadn't understood why Bumblebee had fallen in love with the fragile human, but he was beginning to get an idea of what the young mechanoid saw in Sam.

Yusuke now sat against Ironhide's ankle with his head lolling to the side and his eyes closed in sleep. The sun had disappeared behind the thick expanse of trees and the sky had turned its odd shade of pinks, purples and blues. Ironhide would wake him before it got too late so he could sleep in the temple, but for now he'd let him be.

I'm working through a major writers block so I decided to crank out some one-shots in an attempt to break through. I realize that this parring is likely to send people turning away, but I beg of you to give it a chance. Also, I'm still new to writing the Transformers fandom so if anyone has any corrections about Ironhide's personality or anything of the like I'm happy to listen.
