Requiem of the Smashers is the sequel to Death of the Smashers, where almost everyone was killed. (Spoilers for DotS) Captain Falcon was the killer, he was a crazed lunatic who was misunderstood. Marth slayed him. At the very end, Marth, Mario, and Luigi survived. Marth was to be married to Sheeda.

A few days before the wedding, Luigi arrived at Altea. Mario was killed, and a note was in his place. (End Spoilers)

The first chapter introduces a lot of new things, new mysteries, etc. We will not see Marth and Luigi until next chapter though.

Super Smash Brothers, a tournament of the best, the strongest, the elite. For years, battles were fought. Competing for fame, wealth, and even pride. To some, this was a test of power. To others, a grand opportunity.

There was one man though, who changed this all in one week. His name was Captain Falcon. He had it all, fame, wealth, and tons of adoring fans. Yet he threw it all away to go on a mass murder. His targets? The Smashers themselves.

Some say he was a crazy lunatic who took drugs. Others say he had a broken heart. Me? What do I think? Well, I don't have a speculation... because I know why he did it. There's always two sides to every story.

Marth, the prince of Altea. A strong fighter indeed, but he lacked something. Something he will never have. A broken heart.

Why is it, that no matter how far you go, you almost never succeed at a simple thing called love? Perhaps this was true for Captain Falcon. Or maybe I'm just confusing you. Take a deep breath, lay down, make yourself at home.

Because my friends, this is going to be one hell of a ride.

Now wait... I bet you are wondering who I exactly am? Well, that's a good question. I'm a insolent being. I'm not human, nor am I an animal. I'm a shadow, never to be loved, to hide in the shadows of the streets.

I'm a loner, fending for my self. I thought I was the best at sword play. That is until he showed up. He was my better, I knew I would lose the moment I saw the look in his eyes. He was fighting for something that I could not understand at that time. Nor would I ever.

He didn't care about the bruises I dealt, nor the flesh of his I cut. No, he cared about only one thing. Love, true love. He bested me, but he did not kill me. He should have.

Maybe If I wasn't here right now, he could still be alive and spending time with her. Maybe, if I never would have accepted that deal, everything would be normal. I'm a monster, I deserve to die. But not yet, I have plans to perform. I will serve my master to the end, for I have no heart, and I never will.

Short yet sweet in my opinion. Can you guess who the person talking is? It's not me, if that helps at all. Cookie to the people who get it, it's not that hard, just look at some select words.

Next Chapter Marth and Luigi make their comeback... someone dies, the person next chapter is revealed. And last but not least, we meet another mystery man. (Hint, hint.)
