To my dearest loyal readers,
I noticed a lot of people were following this story of mine, which hasn't been updated in quite some time, so I believe that it's time to reveal some things that I have been working on regarding this story;
First off, I will reveal the direction the original story was going to take. If you remember, Bunny was a familial abuse survivor trying to pick her life back up. Thanks to all she suffered, she developed a lot of health problems, and has to deal with all the scars she received both inside and out. Castiel instantly takes a liking to her, and after Amber goes absolutely psycho on her, the two get together. That's where the story left off. The later chapters were supposed to go like so; After Castiel and Bunny get together, Castiel was going to find out that Bunny is a teen mom by meeting her son Alex, named after Bun's mother Alexis, a soldier who's gone missing in action. Alex was the product of the abuse she faced at her father's hand, thus being the byproduct of incest, born two years before the start of the story. Kentin would have been aware of this, which was the real reason that she was so horrified when he followed her; that the damning information would come with him. After winning custody of her son, the story would revolve around how they would make the relationship, and life itself work (i.e. the problems Bunny faces with the people around her criticizing her being a mother at her age and the ongoing battle with her mother's romantic companion in the military pressuring her to give Alex up due to the circumstances of his birth, or treat him like he's her younger brother instead of her son * she doesn't want to, and it would be pointless because Alex is very aware that Bunny is his mother * and Castiel's own demons and warming up to the idea of being the father figure in Alex's life). As you can see, I decided not to go that route. I've decided to keep and alter a lot of stuff about the story. My main character (now named Noèle Bellerose, giving her a new first name and using her old original name as a surname) will still be a teen mom, but it won't be a big plot device. Instead of her biological father, it will be her stepfather, a business man and entrepreneur who is the father of the child (why am I telling you this? It will be addressed immediately in the story). He does not go to prison like in the first telling of the story, but it is settled outside of court that Noèle will be allowed to move away from her parents and live independently with her son, with her stepfather, Gaston Chaput paying her living expenses and child support. Her mother's new name is Giselle Chaput, taking her husband's name. Later on the circumstances of Noèle's father's death will be revealed. Instead of being two, Noèle's son will be a month and a half old at the start of the story. Kentin will still be aware of the whole situation, and will even have a more significant role in her story, but doesn't reveal any of what he knows until later on. The relationship will now be built more naturally between Noèle and Castiel, more closely in sequence to the episodes of the game (since this had been bothering me for some time). The absolute ooc nature of all the characters, even Amber, disturbed me. I had to start over again before this ate away at me any further. Sorry to everyone who had to read that.
This is all I can reveal about the plot for now, so on to more pressing matters. I've improved my writing over the years, and I wish to revamp as much of my image here on as I can. I still intend to share my account with my co-owner and best friend, but I have made the conclusion myself that after all this time, if I want to get my writing career off the ground, I have to start up from the ground, back to square one and the very first stepping stone I took in writing- writing fan fiction. I realized why I have been having so much trouble writing my own story the other day- I've never even finished a fanfic. How can I expect to have confidence and drive to tell my own story, when I haven't even finished telling a story based on characters I love? I need to crack down, and this is the first step in my journey that I must take. I cannot finish my own book until I finish what I started here. So here's the first step in my literary journey! Wish me luck!
