So, my siblings and I got very tired of the song "Let It Go". If you have read my profile, you know that I am not a fan of this song at all! At the time, my older sister was about to graduate from high-school. Since we are all home-schooled, we got to arrange the graduation pretty much however we wanted... Which included my siblings and I doing a surprise song that she knew absolutely nothing about. It was awesome, because she never suspected a thing! :) Aaaaanyway, we decided to rewrite "Let It Go" for a graduation... And this is what we came up with. Hope you like it! Like I need to say, but I do NOT own the original song, only the lyrics below.
The path looks bright for your future tonight
As you're off to live your dreams
The kingdom of God will guide you
If you let Him be your King
The world is howling like a swirling storm outside
Let Him light your way, He will be your guide
Abide in Him and you will see
He will teach you who you were made to be
The real reveal, and you will know
Yes, you will know!
And you'll grow, as you go
Though the world around you may roar
Yes, you know - storms will blow
Take 'em on, fling wide the door
If here you stand, and in Christ you stay
Let the storm rage on
God's bigger than the storm anyway
It's funny how the years pass
And change what you desire
And the dreams He plants inside you
Burn with consuming fire
From childish things to God's own dreams
He will teach you what living really means
The right, the wrong, He'll help you see
You'll see
And you'll grow, as you go
Though the world around you may roar
Yes, you know - storms will blow
Take 'em on, fling wide the door
If here you stand, and in Christ you stay
Let the storm rage on...
His power strengthens and protects you all around
Your soul is answering and rising joyful from the ground
The childish things are through, you're setting out at last
You're all grown up now - the past is in the past
Let it go! Let it go!
And you'll rise in the love of God
Let it go, let it go
The little girl is gone
A woman stands in the light of day
Let the storm rage on!
God's bigger than the storm anyway!
