"BOY! I would reconsider your current course!" Thanos boomed.

Ronan opened the orb to reveal the purple infinity stone within. The power surged throughout him and he grabbed his hammer-like Universal Weapon placing the stone's power there as well. "YOU CALL ME "BOY"?! I will unfurl one thousand years of Kree justice on Xandar, AND BURN IT TO ITS CORE! Then, Thanos, I'm coming for you!"

The hologram before us vanished.

I broke down in tears. "Ronan..."

Nebula looked at Ronan questioningly. "After Xandar, you're going to kill my father?"

"You dare to oppose me?" Ronan asked, his anger pulsing.

"You see what he has turned me into? You kill him and I will help you destroy a thousand planets." Nebula stated plainly.

Ronan nodded curtly and crossed the room to me. "Cheyenne."

I faced him with hatred. "You! How could you do this to me?! All I've ever done is what you asked of me!" I screamed, pounding on his chest.

Ronan gazed at me, confused. "I have not changed toward you, have I? Dear Cheyenne, I still love you more than anything this universe has to offer."

I shook my head. "Goddamnit, Ronan! I'm talking about you now! What are you going to do when you face Thanos alone?! What if Thanos kills you?!" I shouted. "I couldn't go on without you. I'd die too..." I trailed off.

The extravagant room was quiet for a few agonizing moments, for me, anyway.

Ronan cupped my cheek. "Look at me, Cheyenne."

I forced myself to meet his violet pools. I didn't say anything. I couldn't. I felt helpless and broken, knowing my love, my life would surely die if he went after Thanos. I loved him too much to care about anything else. He could die, even with the power of the orb couldn't he?

Ronan's loud sigh broke my thoughts. "Cheyenne, Thanos doesn't stand a chance against the power of the orb flowing within me. I promise you. I will return to you. i will destroy Xandar and him along with it. You have my word. I love you. Would I have cause to lie to you, above all others?"

I smiled and we locked lips passionately. Ronan deepened the kiss and stuck his tongue in my mouth. Our tongues danced together harmoniously. We pulled apart after about five minutes. Ronan smirked down at me.

"Would you like to continue in my quarters, my love?"
