Duchess POV

I woke up in the middle of the night to the night, hearing the sound of a wolf howling. A shiver run down my spine, i don't really like wolves. they're blood thirsty monsters who devoer anything with meat, well that's what what mother always says.

I try to go back to sleep but it wouldn't stop, I get out my bed and stand on the balcony to see what was going on.

When I opened the door I was hit with the cold December air, a few seconds later the howling turn into wimpering.

I know i should mind my business but what if it's hurt, what if I can ... save it.

But that's nonsense, there's nothing I can do. Then it starts to get louder, I make up my mind. I grab my coat, and sneak out of my dorm and then the school.

I started walking towards the sound ( that surprisingly no one else can hear). As I get closer I started to see werr the sound was coming from.

There in front of me layed a giant white wolf, with a huge clawmark leaking crimson red blood. The wolf seemed to be surprised that I was there, I walked up to it looking at the red clawmarks.

I reached my hand out to pet its ear and surprisingly it leans into my touch.

It starts whimpering again, reminding me that it was close to bleeding to death. I take off my jacket, tie it around the wound to stop the bleeding. I stand up waiting to see what it's going to do next, then it tries to stand struggling.

It finally stands on all fours, standing very tall almost taller than me. I start to shiver from not having my jacket on. The wolf slowly walks towards me nudging it's head into my chest, warming me instantly. It leans its head down to the ground, then bark. I guess wanting me to get on its back.

I don't know why I did it, but I was not going to stand there and freeze to death. I climbed on top of its back feeling the soft warm fur. It starts walking towards EAH. When we reached the steps it leans its head down for me to get off.

When I do we just star at each other, until it rest its big head on top of mine, letting out a soft growl causing me to giggle. I scratch its ear before turning around to leave. I turn back around to the beautiful wolf only to see nothing there. I gave a sad expression then turn around heading back into the dark school.
