Back into the fanfic writing after years away. Lets see how this goes! I don't own any of the wonderful characters you will come across.

Nico slowly open his eyes only to quickly close them again. "Ug, too bright!" He pulls the blanket over his head as he curls towards the wall.

"It's not that bright. You can't even see the sun."

"Doesn't matter, still daytime."

A voice sighs beside him. "You do realize you have to meet Hazel in an hour, right?"

At that Nico sat straight up. "Holy Hades. That's today!" Nico tried to scramble out of bed only to get tangled in the blankets. "What the. Why do we have so many blankets on the bed again?"

"Two blankets are not a lot. You just tend to wrap yourself up in them after I leave the bed."

"I get cold after my personal sun leaves."

"Go take a shower and get dressed. Your clothes are in the bathroom."

Nico finally untangles himself from the blankets. "My hero! I would ask if you wanted to take a shower with me but I see you looking all tempting in that outfit of yours."

"I did try and wake you up when I got up. You muttered 'love you, see you at the alter' and went back to sleep. I have been wide awake and wondering what you meant since then."

Nico froze. He slowly turned back towards his boyfriend. "Uh."

"I was thinking you were talking about your sister's wedding today, but I will not be up at the alter at any point during the ceremony."

"Uh."

"I was then thinking of all the other weddings we have to go to over the next few months, but in none of them will both of us be up at the altar."

"Uh."

"So then I got to wondering who you loved and going to meet at the altar."

"I can explain!"

"I hope so, or your sister will be without a flower boy at her wedding."

Nico ran out of the room. "Nico! This is not explaining!"

"Just give me a minute!" he replied as he franticly looked through the drawers of the desk neither of them ever used. Finally he found what he was looking for and rushed back into the bedroom.

"If there is someone else I don't know if I can go quietly. I love you too much… What is that?"

"Uh, so I have been talking with Hazel these past few months about how she knew Frank was the one she wanted to spend her life with. Everything she was saying struck me as true about us. So then I got to thinking that it could be us up there one day and the thought never left my head. I know you have been wondering why I've been quiet for the past few months, and this is it." Nico got down on one knee next to the bed. "I think this is how people still do this, right? Will Solace, will you do me the great honor of becoming my husband?" Nico presented a simple gold band to the love of his life on the bed.

Will's eyes went wide as his hands covered his open mouth. He opened and closed his mouth several times, but no sounds emerged.

"Will?"

"Oh gods, Nico!" Will tackled him to the ground. "Of course! I was thinking the worst and it turned out to be the best news ever!"

Nico laughed as he slipped the ring on his now fiancée's finger. "Now about that shower."

"Good thing you can get us there in an instant!" Will exclaimed as he leaned in for a kiss.

Hazel was a little miffed by how late they ended up showing up but got over it after Will explained why they were late. She ended up helping to plan their wedding in five months later and was not the only one who cried when they finally said 'I do.' (Frank blamed it on the fact that she told him she was having a baby that morning, not that there were so many tender moments that everyone cried at some point.)
