Marco's End
My breath came and left my body quickly as I ran from the titan that I had led away from Jean. It was faster than I expeced it to be. The air felt hevy as I drew it into my lungs; the smell of blood was srong, making my stomach churn with every inhale. My body was hevy, like led, weighted by fatigue.
I pulled the trigger on the handle of my blades. Cables instantly shot from my waist to bury themselves in the stone of a nearby building. Releasing the triggers my body was pulled towards the the wall; I released the cables just to shoot them into another building before my body could slam into the wall.
The titan was catching up and I tried desperatly to increase my speed. This thing was deffinetly out for my blood. It's giant hand swings towards me. I shift m weight and release the cables again, trying to dodge it. Luckly I'd moved enough so it couldn't grab me, but the giant fingers had clipped my side.
I lost my balance and my back connected to a soild wall; pain shot through my being. I had hit several stories above the ground. I began to fall and I quickly tried to use my menuver gear to save myself from more pain. But nothing was happening. I pulled the triggers repatedly, but I couldn't save myself from the fall. I hit the ground hard. Pain consumed my body as I try to pick myself up off the ground.
Tears clouded my eyes. I'd probably broken a few bones. I could tell I'd deffinently broken at least one rib. I saw the titan still persuing me. I knew my 3DMG wouldn't work, so I frantically started to unbuckle the straps. I needed to get it off. It would only slow we down now. I removed it quickly and dropped the gear onto the ground. The titan had almost reached me now. I ran, not caring about the agony exploding in my chest with every breath I took; the air stinging my lungs.
The soles of my boots slappig teh cobblestoned street loudly in my desperate attempt to escape. My senses were hightening. I could smell all the death around me, hear the titans footsteps growing ever closer each moment. Panic was overtaking my body and mind. I started turning into alleys, trying to loose it, because I knew I couldn't outrun it.
Fear was weighing down my legs. I tripped, falling to the cold ground, earning more cuts and briuses. The seconds it took me to gather my feet beneath me again were enough for the titan to close the distance between us. I backed into a wall, cornnered like an injured animal. My heart beat loudly in it's cage. The titan lowered it's massive body slowly; It knows it has me trapped.
Tears were now flowing freely down my face. This is the end. I'm going to die. I let myself slide down the wall, coming to sit on the ground. I cried shamlessly. There was so much I wanted to do. Jean and I were going to join the Military Police together. So we could live safely in the interior and be together. Sobs ripped through my thought when the titan reached for me.
It opened it's massaive mouth; the vulgar smell of it's breath, mixed with blood, washed over my face, making me want to retch, but my body was frozen in fear. It closed in on me, blocking my veiw of anything beyond the hideious monster about to end my life.
It closed its mouth around my uppper right side. There was unbearable agony and I choked loudly on my sobs. Then everything was numb. My heartbeat instanly slowed to a stop. Shadows crept across my vision quickly. The darkness decended upon me, preventing me from seeing anything ever again.
