She was sitting alone in the loo. It was nothing new. Be it the dorm, class or library, she was always alone. Her classmates tended to mock her for her eagerness to learn. "Know-it-all!" they called her. She had never gotten along with her classmates. After receiving her Hogwarts letter, she'd hoped that it was due to her "special abilities" and she'd have friends in the new school. It was not so. Her new classmates turned out to be remarkably similar to the muggles they mocked in terms of small mindedness. However stoic and uncaring she pretended to be, it hurt. Constantly being undermined for being herself made it tough to keep her composure. That's not to sat she didn't try. She did try. But to hear a classmate loudly remark "No wonder she hasn't any friends!" was the last straw. She couldn't hold in the sadness anymore. She rushed to the girl's bathroom in tears. That's where she sat now, thinking where she'd gone wrong.
A.N: This is my very first attempt at fanfiction. I've tried to write a missing scene/drabble in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Constructive criticisms and reviews are welcome.
