Light sauntered into his room with a smug grin plastered on his handsome face. His smirk suddenly fell to the ground and he froze in the middle of a stride. His eyes locked onto the long, lean figure draped all over his bed, with the long, clawed feet dangling out in one end.
Ryuk was laying on his back, guzzling apples and with the book hovered above him. He was deeply encountered by the reading. The book… THE BOOK!
"Ryuk… What in the name of all Shinigami are you reading?!"
It jerked surprised in Ryuk. "Oh, Light-kun! I kinda picked it up in your sis' room - don't ask how I got there! But well… I saw this delicious apple on this lovely book! I'm not really sure what this is, but it's pretty wicked!"
"Twilight, Ryuk? Really?"
"Not even humans could be so ignorant as to temp with apples on the front, if the story would contain non!" Ryuk snorted and sighed. "You know what they say… Don't judge a book by its cover, and I'm still waiting for the apple-part, but I just can't stop turning the pages! It's like I just know the apples are waiting just one line below…" He resignedly threw up his long, tangy arms.
Light just stood there, completely mind-blown. Astonished. Dumbstruck.
"…"
"It's actually pretty good…"
"…"
"And there're this really creepy vampire stalker and stuff… No?"
Light turned around and walked out the door without a word. He was death-pale and lingered a little.
Ryuk stared after him with a completely blank face. Then he shrugged by himself and flipped yet another apple - from the gigantic stack beside him - into his eternally grinning mouth.
