This is just a random drabble that I felt like writing. It takes place during the last episode of the series when Tamahome defeats Nakago. And...er...its sucky...but I just had to write it...so meh. Oh, and the lyrics at the begining are from the song 'Gravity', which is the ending song of Wolf's Rain.
Discalimer: I don't own anything...sue if you want...I have no money so that won't get you very far anyway
been a long road to follow
been there and gone tomorrow
without saying goodbye to yesterday
are the memories I hold still valid?
or have the tears deluded them?
He was smiling, he was with his mother and he was smiling. He'd forgotten how to do that.
Had he ever been that happy?
Now the smile tilts downwards. He's screaming. Screaming along with her as he's forced to watch.
Make it stop. Make it stop. MAKE IT STOP!
And somehow, he did. The blue light engulfs them all, destroying all it touches, destroying his mother. It was over now. He had ended her suffering. She was safe now.
Murderer.
"Such a pretty face," the strange man says as he smiles. The smile never reaches his eyes.
The others smile too. Their smiles mock him.
Unclean. He was unclean. A toy for the Emperor to play with. Such a pretty face, and such power too. A beautiful, powerful puppet.
He weeps as he lies on the bed.
He would have his revenge. Oh yes. He would wait.
Revenge would be sweet.
Years past now. All memories.
Revenge was sweet. The blood dripping down his hands was intoxicating. The fear in the eyes of his 'master' was a drug.
Why did it hurt so? Shouldn't he be happy?
He needed more. Maybe then he would feel again.
He looks down at the hand that pierced his chest.
He should be angry. But, why is he so calm?
He looks into the other man's eyes. Purple orbs glistening in the firelight.
A smile. Pity.
He knows now. He knows of the pain. He does not hate.
The purple orbs widen in surprise at the kiss. But he understands, it is a thank you.
Tears roll down the purple orbs.
"Don't worry. These tears aren't for you. I'm just glad its over."
Smile.
Yes. He understood.
