The hat perspective

1 - The selection of the founders

I remember well the day that I opened the eyes, well, I feel I have not submitted, I am, the Coach Hat. Well, as I was saying, perfectly remember the day I opened eyes first. Them, the founders, made an old and worn hat one of the symbols of the best magic school of all times: Hogwarts. When I was born school has had been created, with its high ceilings and its million undiscovered rooms. And there they were: Godric Gryffindor, high, brown hair, green eyes and a security in each movement which afforded a noble port; Helga Hufflepuff, short, redhead, small and blue eyes and a smile always present; Rowena Ravenclaw, high, beautiful, black hair and grey eyes, serious and rational as it wasn´t any other; and by last Salazar Slytherin, high also, with blond hair and blue and injected eyes in blood, he was... different, concerned much importance to origin and ascent, much more than to the person, but it wasn´t less appreciated among their peers.

They told me their desire to create a school where the small magicians could learn to use the magic and to handle it. The school would be divided into four houses which would lead the name of their founders and whose students would have their same interior features, I should memorize these features to select to each student and send him to the correct home. Their own founders should put myself in their heads so I read them as open books:

• When Godric Gryffindor placed me over his head I read in him the gentlemanly, the hardening and above all, the braviour, and I knew that like him should be the perfect Gryffindor.

• When Helga Hufflepuff placed me over his head I read in her justice, generosity and a disproportionate loyalty these qualities are which characterized all members of the Hufflepuff House.

• When Rowena Ravenclaw placed me over his head I read in her logic, intelligence and wisdom without limits, so like her would be the Ravenclaw members.

• When Salazar Slytherin placed me over his head I read in him the desire to be someone, cunning and mainly concern for cleaning the blood, that´s why all Slytherin members are "clean blood´´.

I always I remained impartial and I chose the students with total justice. But soon start problems.
