He brushed his long blonde hair from his face as he sat up in his bed. It was going to be another long day, that he knew. No one in the Organization respected the academic like he thought they should. Unless they needed something and in that case Vexen was treated like a best friend. They all used him like a tool, except one. Saïx had never asked Vexen for any personal favour. The blue haired man had only come to him on occasion with requests from Xemnas.

Vexen often wondered about the Luna Diviner. 'What did Saïx think of him?' 'Did Saïx despise him?' Vexen hoped not. He was intrigued by the man, to the point of obsession. This obsession sometimes effected his daily tasks.

There were a few occasions when Vexen would enter the kitchen and Saïx would be there. The Academic always froze, never knowing just how to address the Organization's number VII. Then, as always, Saïx would give him a puzzled glance and hastily leave. Times like that made Vexen feel like an idiot. He would sulk back to his lab and mentally scold himself for saying nothing. Even more so for looking like a complete fool in front of the man he desired most.

"Today...Today is the day I'll tell him. Have faith in yourself Even...Treat the situation as if it were an experiment. Be confident..."

Vexen heaved an exasperated sigh and left his quarters. He headed for the meeting room.

Saïx stretched as he rose form his bed. He went over to a body-length mirror and studied his features. His long azure hair was an absolute wreck and sleep was still prominent on his face. The Luna Diviner yawned as he grabbed a brush and slowly untangled his messy bed-head.

"I must look nice. I'll confront him today. I must tell him..." He mumbled to himself.

Saïx had been admirerring the blonde scientist from afar for many months now and had yet to approach. He planed to tell Vexen how he silently watched him, like an elementary school crush does. How he had been hiding his want for the academic.

His nightly dreams about the scientist had pleasantly plagued his mind and Saïx deemed it time to make his dreams a reality. He smirked at himself in the mirror, preparing. Today Vexen would become his and his alone. He walked from his room and made way for the meeting chamber.

Coming from opposite directions, each man thought of the other as they both headed for 'Where nothing gathers'.

"Today is the day..."

"Be confident..."

"I must tell him..."

"Today..."

"Today..."

"Today..."

"I'll tell you..."

The two of them, being lost in thought, nearly collided outside the door to the meeting chamber. Both men's cheeks turned light rose. Vexen froze,as usual, and Saïx gave the academic his classic puzzled gaze.

The Chilly Academic's mind screamed, 'Tell him! Tell him!'.

"Ex-Excuse me." Vexen stammered, "I was not paying attention."

"It's alright." Saïx replied with a smile. All the while he fought within, 'I must tell him! Today! Now is your chance! Don't blow it!'. The Luna Diviner held the door open, "You first Vexen."

Vexen bowed, "Thank you."

The scientist strode into the chamber and Saïx entered behind him.

'Maybe tomorrow...'
