Kitty guesses she was the first one to notice. Notice what? Notice Bobby, you idiot. Kitty doesn't mean notice Bobby that way. She means, notice Bobby that he was upset. Well, of course he was depressed! Professor Xavier died, along with John, Mr. Summers and Ms. Grey.
Rogue got her powers back too, but Kitty doubts that's the reason. She heard that Rogue and Bobby were sleeping on the couch after watching a movie late one night. No, not that way. It was 2 AM, and neither had enough energy to move, much less pop the DVD out.
Did you know that Bobby doesn't even like Rogue? He's just dating her to be in tune with reality. If he didn't have someone to save him from daydreams and mindless accusations of Jubilee stealing his soda, he might just hang himself.
So, anyway, Bobby was lying down with his head in Rogue's lap. She was just subconsciously stroking his cheek when she feel asleep minutes after he did, so her hand stayed in place. Overnight, her mutant genes fought the cure, and the mutant genes won.
And at that moment, Kitty just woke up for a morning jog- she always wakes up at 6. She heard a little tune that comes when the movie goes to menu, and decided to see who could join her on her daily jog. That's when Kitty saw Rogue's cold breath in a summer morning.
Rogue has no powers. Rogue is 'human'. Rogue is a 'sapien'. Bobby has powers. Bobby is a mutant. Bobby is ice. And Bobby is pale and near death.
It ended where Kitty had to get a hold of Bobby to phase him through Rogue's grasp, jerking him awake and alert.
A few days later, Kitty finds out that Rogue tried to kill herself.
Kitty, eating some leftover cake, speaks to Jubilee, conversing about how Miss Munroe's gonna run herself to the ground, trying to enroll more students, run the school, and teach a class all at the same time. Then the phone rings. Jubilee answers it, snickering at Kitty.
The phone's for Bobby. Luckily for Jubilee, Bobby was hungry for a snack. Bobby takes the phone, and when he hears the person's voice, Bobby yelps. He would take it to another room, but it's not cordless. Darn phones. So Bobby starts whispering in a low voice. It ends with an 'I'll meet you then.'
'Then' happens, and Bobby becomes even more depressed. Bobby comes back with a nasty gash on his arm, saying 'Ronnie said he'd make me pay.'
A few days later, Kitty finds out Ronnie is a mutant.
Kitty is doing homework while Peter is sketching some scene from the news. Bobby walks in, looks at Peter's sketch, and crumples it up. This causes a whole fight, including Bobby thrown to a wall, Peter covered in ice, and Kitty's homework shredded. When Bobby leaves, Peter just says he was just drawing a dead body from the news.
A few days later, Kitty finds out that the dead body was Ronnie's, frozen to death.
