There he stood, alone now, in front of a large gate. The tall
black haired man didn't want to follow through with his mission, but
he knew he must. Although being at the castle with his favourite
gambler was the more desirable scenario.
He could still hear the blonde's voice in his head. Their conversation
from the night before was still a lucid part of his daydreams...
"I'll be leaving in the morning." Xaldin said.
"I know love. That's why I'm here right now" the blue eyed gambler
replied snuggling close, "I want to spend as much time with you as I
can before you go."
Xaldin smirked, "You act as thought I'm leaving for good."
Luxord fell into a silence. One that made Xaldin squirm.
"Say something Luxord." Xaldin muttered.
Luxord sighed, "Please don't say things like that love."
"Why not?" The other man asked, "It's not like I am leaving for good."
"I know, but still..."
Xaldin silenced the gambler with a kiss, "No more talk of that now
Luxord. I'll be back before you know it."
Luxord smiled. He ran his fingers through Xaldin's hair and slept
peacefully. The Whirlwind Lancer kissed his companion's forehead and
also slept quite soundly.
He pushed the gate open and entered the vast castle. Wherein dwelled
the Beast, Xaldin's target.
It wasn't long before Sora and his sortie came to meddle. And it was
not long before Xaldin engaged the young Keyblade master in a heated
battle.
The Whirlwind Lancer fought at top game. Landing heavy blows that
struck with crushing power. The confrontation raged on, but had to
end.
The final blow could have come out of nowhere. Only, nowhere belonged
to Nobodies and in this battle of the war the Nobodies did not win.
Instead, the killing strike came out of anywhere. A place Xaldin once
knew himself, but that was long ago.
Sora stood before the Organization's number three. The victor stood
before the defeated.
Xaldin's mind raced. He had promised Luxord he'd return. All in vain now.
'Is this my fate? I guess it must be... I'm sorry Luxord...'
Xaldin screamed out a curse before evaporating into the Æther.
