Wes was just looking around Aio Port. He was hoping that a friend of his would be there. Wes had already looked around Agate Village, Pokémon HQ Lab, the Poké Spots, Pyrite and Mt. Battle. He had asked everybody, to see if they knew where his friend was. They didn't know his friend's whereabouts either.
Wes sighed in despair. There was only one place in Aio Port that he hadn't looked. The lighthouse. Wes decided to walk up instead of using the elevator, the walk might help him get his thoughts together.
As soon as Wes had gotten to the top of the lighthouse, he heard someone sobbing. He looked around and saw a boy sitting against the railing, hugging his knees to his chest. Wes walked toward the boy, and realized that it was his friend Ryuuto. Well, he shouldn't really say friend, now should he? That's right, he had feelings for this kid, well, man right? He was eighteen.
Wes sat down next to Ryuuto. He didn't know what to do; Wes wasn't really good at these kinds of situations.
"Ryuuto?" Wes asked, making the other jump. Ryuuto looked at Wes, his emerald eyes were a bit red because of his crying. He felt his heart clench at Ryuuto's distraught.
"What's wrong?" He asked the younger. Ryuuto tried to wipe the tears away, but more just kept coming.
"M-my sis-sister J-Jovi got into an ac-accident." Ryuuto explained, his voice breaking and started to cry harder. Wes held the distraught redhead. Ryuuto cried, burying his head into Wes's chest.
"Sh-she's gone." He chocked, gripping Wes's shirt tightly. Wes just held him, not sure of what to do.
They stayed like that for a good half an hour. Wes looked up at the sky, and noticed that it would be nightfall in an hour.
"Would you like to come back to my house for a while?" He asked Ryuuto, who's crying had gone down a bit. Ryuuto nodded. The two stood up and used the elevator to get down to the bottom of the lighthouse. They got off the elevator, got on their scooters (or whatever the heck they are. X3) and drove to Wes's house.
Wes's house was a nice family house. It had three floors: the top floor had the bedrooms, the middle floor had the living room, dining room and kitchen and the bottom floor was a computer room.
Wes unlocked the door and the two walked inside. The older then went upstairs, to check and see if he had any clothes that would fit Ryuuto. He came back downstairs and saw Ryuuto sitting on the couch, looking very depressed. Of course, who wouldn't be if they lost a close family member?
"What would you like for dinner?" Wes asked the younger.
"It doesn't matter." He answered quietly. Wes nodded and went into the kitchen to make ramen (1). When it was done, the two sat at the kitchen table and ate in silence. After they ate, Wes went upstairs and got the pajamas that would fit Ryuuto. He came back downstairs and gave them to the younger.
"Thanks…" Ryuuto said quietly.
"Welcome." Wes told him. The two adults went upstairs and stopped in front of Wes's room.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" He asked Wes shyly.
"Yeah, you can." Wes told the younger. He really wanted to comfort Ryuuto; the younger was in need of it. The two got into bed and Ryuuto snuggled next to Wes, causing the older to blush a tiny bit.
"Night." Ryuuto said.
"Night." Wes answered. The two fell asleep, Ryuuto feeling safe in Wes's arms.
