"You did this to me!" Regina yelled, her fists clenched in attempt to make herself seem as threatening as possible.
"You made me a monster!"
"Oh, my poor child. I didn't do this to you." Cora tilted her head at her child, her face almost showing shame, or maybe even pity. "You did this to yourself."
Regina screamed now, something as equally heart wrenching as it was terrifying. Out of pure frustration and pain.
Her mother didn't even flinch in the slightest, just blinked and then disappeared into a cloud of purple smoke.
Emma knew now was the time to come out from where she had been hiding. She started to run across the grave yard to get to the emotionally ruined brunette that was now collapsing onto the ground in a whirl of sobs and frustrated gasps for oxygen. As if the cold October air could calm the raging fire in her lungs.
"Regina!"
Emma didn't even wait for a response before she got down with the other woman and wrapped her arms around her.
Unlike what would usually happen if Emma tried to touch her any other time, Regina didn't flinch back or protest in any way. Instead she just allowed the blonde to hold her close.
Through the muffled sobs coming from the brunette, Emma was able to understand only four words.
"I am a monster."
