Chapter 1: The Introduction
The teenager looks out her window, still dark. She breathes out a sigh of relief, before collapsing onto her bed, noting that her clothing was still damp from the washing she did when she got home only an hour before. She sighs, before flipping onto her side, closing her eyes. She was just about to fall asleep, when a screech fills the room, surprising the teen onto the floor with a delayed, but jumpy, reaction. She looks up at the buzzing, in her opinion screeching, alarm clock, 7:00 A.M.
"Ugh…"She mutters before getting up and slamming her fist down on the ALARM button to shut it up, noticing without care the screen crack, and shut off, the fifth one this week. She growls, muttering several select words under her breath as she unplugs the clock from the wall, she'll have to get a new one on the way home today. She studies the familiar room as she yawns, the sunrise out her window causing the room to light up in a soft pink glow.
The walls were painted a boring shade of beige, which perfectly matched the just as tedious carpet. A beautiful red mahogany desk was pushed up against the wall. One of the other items that made up the room was a small bed across the desk. A wide bookshelf sits next to the desk, its arms filled with aging books, old photos, and ancient scrolls. The only other thing in the room was the closet, which had been left open.
She clutches the electric clock in her right hand, before heading out the main door, and into a hallway painted just as bland as the room, no pictures or ornaments of any kind hanging on the walls. She turns into a small bathroom right next door, only big enough to accommodate a small shower, toilet, and a sink with a mirror. She turns the water on in the sink, not looking at the reflection, before splashing her face several times, before looking up, and stares at the creature staring from the reflection. A black vixen, with red flames going up the bangs that hide her right eye, and both of her large ears. The one eye that is shown is a piercing ruby red, blinking every so often. A casual frown sits upon her white muzzle. She sighs, watching her reflection flatten its ears in time with her own. She gives her reflection a feigned smile.
"Come on Flame, how bad can high school be?"
Her reflection responds with a large yawn.
