Author's Note: This is the other poemfic I wrote but never posted. Part one is the actual poem, while part two when I finish writing it will be done like a songfic. So these lines will be used in it. Usually in fanfics I tend to use the mischievous Xellos who meddles but doesn't do anything too evil. But this fanfic is the exception. This will probably be the only fic I ever write where Xellos is truly evil. The reason I never posted this fic, is because I hadn't finished writing part two. It got too hard so I stopped. But I've decided to revive this story and finish it.
The Rainstorm Triumphant
By Relm
Once a calm darkles night upon a period of solitude
A man sits and ponders his life.
His drive is nothing more than his obsession for what he strives for,
His cure for his imperfection,
His only reason to live,
Or does he?
He stares longingly to his companion, his unspoken love
The one he continues on living for
And would die for
His true drive for life.
Dark fallen a storm starts to brew
As if a warning of what to come.
Our wrestles wanderer lies to sleep
With the thoughts of his desire,
Of happiness,
Of his love.
As sleep takes to dreams
Night takes to mischief.
A scream assaults the deathly silence,
Awoken the wandering man feels his stomach and heart tear
As his love his taken away by his enemy.
She screams out his name as she is wisped away
With only the sound of her voice left to remain.
Our wrestles wanderer curses to high heavens
And vows to get his love back.
As if to taunt him, the wanderer is left a clue
From his enemy on where to go.
The storm picks up its fury
And our warrior treks through the bleakness.
Raging against the madness of the storm, thunder crashes
And the rain beats down on his back but now the storm
Is but a mere reflection of the angered madness
That rages in his soul.
The storm rages against him but still he goes on
For his love is the only reason.
Breaking through the storm a light peers through the darkness
As night becomes day.
The storm loses it battle and is brought at bay
While the wanderer finds the last obstacle.
A horrendous mountain but still he goes on
Climbing up with all his might.
Almost at the top he stumbles
And falls
And grabs on to the cliff
Still determined he climbs on.
Energy gone and body weakened, but he reaches the top
And they're his lovely beauty tearstained
Lay chained.
He released her and held her tight
While she hugged him back with all her might.
A crash of thunder, the storm picks up
As a sword sinks its blade into the wanderer.
The wanderer staggers with blood rushing down his back
To face his enemy for the final
Confrontation.
The swords clanged and storm became fierce
With very little left to fight with
Our wrestles wanderer battles with the last
Bit of his soul.
Victory he wins
But not before his enemy's final attack.
The cruel smiling beast grins as he attacks
Not our wandering warrior, but his love.
With no thought our wrestles warrior pushes her out of the way
A sickening sound
A quiet thud.
The enemy dies and the wandering one wins
But such an empty victory.
His love screams out his name and runs to grab him as he falls
His once strong firm body turned lifeless and limp.
And the tears came pouring down her checks
There he tells her the secret he's been hiding,
That he loved her,
And then he died.
And she screamed out his name begging him not to die on her,
And that she loved him too.
The rainstorm raged on hiding the many tears she shed,
The storm this time reflecting her madness
As her heart broke inside her.
And still as night turns to day
And day into night
The storm stopped
To bring forth the miracle of love,
Life reborn.
