Only months after Alice left wonderland did trouble stir up again. There were high hopes of peace as they assumed the Jabberwocky had been slain for good by Alice.
But they had never been so wrong, they never had Alice. Not their Alice, anyway.
So certain of themselves that this was their Alice, they began to believe that the wrong woman was her. Her dreams? Made up in her head by another Alice.
But as for their troubles, it only took a few months for the Jabberwocky to revive itself again. Once again it sided with the Red Queen Iracebeth and began to destroy the land that had only for a short time known its peace. Many died, and a few that helped overthrow her were placed into the dungeons. Most doomed to loose their heads.
That was where a familiar group of seven sat in despair. Their names familiar, Tarrant Hightopp, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Mallymkun, Nivens McTwisp, Thackery Earwicket, Uilleam, and of course, Mirana of Mormeal.
Placed in chains they tried to comfort themselves by talking with one another. It never fully took away the pain, but it helped a bit. Listening to one another's stories that had never before been shared. But of course, curiosity began to fill their minds as they turned to the White Queen.
"Mirana, surely you of all people would know how your sister became such a horrible person." asked Nivens. Mirana was silent for a moment, percing her lips and biting them together. Although it was for just a moment, as she relaxed her face, "I'm honestly unsure. You see-" she cut herself off. Unsure how to continue her own thought.
The rest looked down at themselves. "I suppose some people are just born that way." the dodo, Uilleam muttered to himself. Although suddenly an eighth voice joined into their conversation with the most shocking thing anyone in there would ever hear.
"Mirana! Haven't you lied to them enough?"
