"HEY! HEY, YOU GUYS! GUYS, LOOK AT THIS!"

Sokka burst in enthusiastically, tripped over his own feet, and ended up flat on his face, much to the mild amusement of those in the room. One arm was still upraised, the hand of which was clenched around a rolled up piece of paper.

Zuko was suddenly struck by foreboding. Off to the side, Katara suddenly became fascinated with the ground and responded indifferently. "What, did the Ember Island Players make a new ending to The Boy in the Iceberg?"

"Joy," muttered Toph.

Within seconds Sokka was back on his feet, grinning from ear to ear. "Even better!"

Ever the optimist, Aang stood up with an eager smile. "What is it, Sokka?"

"I present to you..." With a flourish, Sokka unrolled the paper and showed everyone. Met with silence, he peeked around the paper hopefully. "Well? Isn't it great?"

"I think it's wonderful," replied Toph. "You know how I absolutely love pieces of paper. Or were you referring to what's on it?"

"Um..." was all Katara could think of saying.

Zuko stared open-mouthed; his foreboding was now mixed with a strong feeling of deja vu.

"Eh..." Aang tilted his head "I dunno, I think it looks pretty cool."

"Of course you'd say that, Twinkle Toes," Toph grumbled. "Will someone please explain to me what's so fascinating?"

Sokka wasted no time. "Toph, our entire story, from beginning to end, is being made into a movie! Not a play, a movie. Three, actually!"

At this, Toph sat bolt upright. "Whoa! Am I gonna be played by a buff guy again?"

"Um... I don't know. This is only the poster for Part One."

Finally, Zuko found his voice again and said the one and only thing on his mind. "That doesn't even look like me."

"C'mon, Zuko, it's Dev Patel!" Sokka laughed. "You know, the guy from Slumdog Millionaire?"

"Never saw it."

Katara, in contrast to Zuko, was grinning. "Well look at that, Sokka, you're being played by a vampire."

"I know, isn't that cool?"

"So who's making this movie?" Toph asked finally. When she was met by silence, she sighed impatiently. "I can tell you're all excited, but can someone please answer me"

It was Aang who answered her. "M. Night Shyamalan."

"Are you serious, Twinkle Toes? That's crazy!" Toph exclaimed. "I love it! Our movie is gonna be made by the guy who did Signs and The Village! And The Sixth Sense!"

"And Lady in the Water," Zuko added in a leaden tone.

In the uncomfortable silence that followed, everyone (including Sokka) exchanged worried glances.

Random brain regurgitations on this oh-so boring day. And, everything mentioned here is completely true, in case you didn't know. M. Night Shyamalan is making an Avatar movie, Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire will be playing Zuko, and Jackson Rathbone, who played Jasper Hale in Twilight, will be playing Sokka. Originally, Jesse McCartney was supposed to play Zuko (drools) but he couldn't because his tour dates conflicted with the filming schedule. Well, crap.

As you may sense from Zuko's last comment, I was a bit disappointed with Lady in the Water. Let's hope The Last Airbender will live up to the fans' standards. For those of you who've just found out about this movie, it will hopefully be out in 2010.

There actually does not exist a movie poster (at least to my knowledge). If there is, and anyone knows what website it's hidden in, PLEASE tell me.
