**This is my first fan fiction ever actually written and published on this (or any other) site! I came up with all these long, elaborate storylines when I was younger, hopefully writing a few shorter pieces will give me the courage I need to post my epic saga one day:-P I came up with this late last night and figured, why not write it, I need a distraction from all this exam studying:-P Disclaimer: I do not own any Marvel characters; please don't sue me I am a poor college student. Also, this is a story from my own imagination, any resemblance to real life events, or even those in fiction is completely coincidental.**

Remy took one look down the aisle. He looked over at her and she smiled, the white streak of hers perfectly falling in alignment with her veil. He smiled back at her but had to immediately turn away. He couldn't let her see him cry, not today of all days anyway. He looked down the aisle again, and he saw a young man with sandy blonde hair and glasses waiting for them. Walking her down the aisle would be one of the hardest things he would ever have to do, but he knew that it was one of the greatest honors in the world. He knew that young man loved her as much as he did and all Remy wanted was for her to be happy. He looked at her again and smiled. He couldn't help but think to himself: "Mon Dieu! Qu'un ange! There has never been a more beautiful bride."

The music begins to play and they walk toward the altar. She squeezed his arm as if she knew what he was thinking. She knew how he felt and she wanted to let him know that she understood. Slowly but steadily, they made their way to the front of the church. Nightcrawler was standing there Bible in hand ready to perform the ceremony. He saw the sadness in his old friend's eyes, and nodded to him to show him that he understood. Once they were at the altar, Remy pulled back the veil and kissed her on the cheek. He wanted to tell her how much he loved her but he couldn't get the words out. All he could do was smile blinking back tears as he put her hand into the groom's hand. All Remy could say was "I know you'll take good care of her"

With that, Nightcrawler started the ceremony. When he got to the part that reads "Who gives this bride in holy matrimony?" Remy said, "Her mother and I do." With that, he took his seat in the front pew next to Rogue. She took his hand and held it. Rogue knew how hard it was for Remy to see his baby girl all grown up. But she also knew that their daughter was marrying someone who loved her as much as Rogue and Remy loved each other. Deep down Gambit knew it too. As the ceremony proceeded, he smiled and secretly wished his daughter and his new son-in-law all of the happiness the world has to offer.
