The October revolution
Disclaimer: I do not own the series
Author's notes: While this is aimed to be as historically accurate as possible, there will still be some discrepancies between the actual events that took place. I'm changing history slightly on the account of where the tsar was caught, and some other details. The story is on a darker note, so his relationships with other countries will not be as friendly.
His heart sank, as he struggled to take deep breaths. "I failed… my Tsar, my king; the man whom I swore to protect is gone…"he muttered, almost as if trying to confirm with himself what just happened.
Ivan stumbled across the street of Saint Petersburg, wandering around aimlessly, still troubled and trying to take in the incident. From a distance, the fire from the winter palace could still be seen rising into the night sky, the angry shouts of man ransacking the palace could still be heard.
They came at night… the Bolsheviks, guns in hand, and torch ablaze, had invaded the palace. Initially, he was more than prepared to stick with his king to the end. But his king would not permit him, and before barricading himself and the rest of his family into one of the rooms. The Tsar said but a single word to him before shutting himself in, "survive". The incidents following that seemed to have flown by so fast, when the mob broke into the palace, he was able to join the mob, and was able to escape. The burning and shouting of the mob still echoed in his mind.
Unsure of what to do, Ivan soon found himself sitting on the cold concrete pavement In between two shops. Tired and exhausted from the earlier events, Ivan soon found himself dreaming, of the more pleasant times he had with the Romanov family.
"Wake up!"
Ivan snapped awake to find himself facing a young boy, who couldn't have been older than 15, smiling at him.
"Have you heard the Tsar has been overthrown?!"The boy exclaimed excitedly.
Remaining silent, his thoughts drifted elsewhere, recalling of the events that transpired earlier.
"Aren't you coming? The Bolshevik leaders are about to give a new speech? Come on!" the youth said enthusiastically, before quickly running in the direction of the palace.
Picking himself up from the ground, and brushing away the dirt, he began to head towards the palace. Upon reaching the palace courtyard, he saw thousands of Russians, all cheering upon the Bolshevik leader entrance out onto the balcony of the winter palace, and delivered a short but effective speech.
The Tsarist government has been deposed. State power has passed into the hands of the organ of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies-the Revolutionary Military Committee, which heads the Petrograd proletariat and the garrison.
The cause for which the people have fought, namely, the immediate offer of a democratic peace, the abolition of landed proprietorship, workers 'control over production, and the establishment of Soviet power—this cause has been secured.
Long live the revolution of workers, soldiers and peasants!
Immediately, the people around him broke into cheer, chanting the name of the Bolshevik leader "Lenin! Lenin! Lenin!"
He sighed and stared into the blue sky. Muttering a prayer to god, he prayed that the future of Russia will be entrusted to capable leaders.
The Rule of the Tsar is over
The Romanov Dynasty has ended
Communism has just begun.
Sorry for the short chapter, I didn't know how to quite transit between 1P Russia and 2P Russia, so this I didn't touch much on the change yet. Ivan will slowly change under the rule of communism, as part of the transition into the cold war, where he finally becomes 2P Russia.
